Okay did the Democrats have the women's vote all tied up as a Republican Party anti women well that's what some Democrats say.
But a group of women freshman house members have a very different idea and one of -- -- South Dakota custom and Christine no she is here to enjoy -- -- -- -- good to see it took credit -- let's start as a GOP anti women.
No in fact were very pro woman and pro man.
I know we care about the same things that every other woman in this country cares about and they want jobs they want jobs so that they can take care of their families I would the last CR should give a speech on the floor about the GOP women why did -- that.
What we wanted to push back a little bit I want the Democratic Party has been saying that insane or anti women -- Republicans.
Party that we've set up and now we have not to take it on the issues that women care about and so we wanted to push back on that show.
You know maybe they're concerned him because we won the woman's vote in the last election.
And they're trying to get it back and spread some untruths about us so.
Do we care about the issues -- -- women care about and that's not this economy our children's future and making sure that we have policies are good for our country -- Think some say that the GOP is traditionally -- And not -- and tell us a bit too strong but not the party for women is it isn't the abortion issue which is typically been an issue for the Democratic Party headed there.
Been a lot of spin in the past and in a lot of times the women that.
We're speaking out like to spend the facts make it seem like we -- anti women when.
Other Republican Party has always stood up for men and women an equal opportunity in the fact that we all care about the great things in this country so.
Perhaps that's -- that we've let them send us for too long an -- finally pushing back.
I want to -- viewed Lynne Cheney which when she was married him and her husband was a vice president -- -- -- colleague -- my years ago it said another network.
But and we went through a list I said pay for equal wages equal wage with a lot of lists incidents the end to a serious feminist.
And she stabbed and she said.
-- NN -- and that -- been hijacked by the left are you feminists what it -- -- what is a feminine.
I would never call myself a feminist well I don't I don't think I'm I'm not a -- really not that word means anymore you know what has been hijacked by different size in two different people.
-- means different things now.
For me I grew up on a farm and ranch and I did everything that the guys that I will be.
Did the same jobs that they did I have the same opportunities that they did and they can drive the tractors and semis I drove him to.
So I never really -- difference in men and women and growing up throughout my life in south Dakota's I don't understand why -- -- -- and the politics.
There's this big separation and everyone's trying to declare themselves feminists were all we're all pro women and we don't want the same opportunities and can happen and we can happen if we classroom.
I think issues that women care about it.
Differently and there are more or lessen demand why -- -- it's good for us to have which reflects the population in this country so.
You know there's a different perspective that women can -- when you talk about having the issues that.
No we probably feel things a little bit deeper than we have more experience with I think everybody would say that your life experiences make you really -- so.
So we can speak a lot deeper into women's health care.
We can speak a lot deeper into you know fighting for that fair -- we can give a different perspective that maybe hasn't been there in the past.
Yes that's critically important but as far as -- what issues at the end of the day.
How we all grew up wanting opportunities and we want of this country does say the great country was when we dropped and that's what we're fighting for so -- -- the women's vote in the last presidential election was that the Democrats or the Republicans good Democrats and then but this last election -- the other Republicans got the women's vote and I think that in the mid term yes I think that's why we're seeing some push back.
-- a lot of this is because we've seen that they've gotten concerned that women really recognized.
A lot of at home a lot of women are the ones who pay the bills they've also -- -- they recognize you can't continue to spend money you don't have.
And they read a lot of that resonates with the women back home and that's why they identified with the Republican Party.
This is there isn't going to be is your strategy now amid and other than deny an idea that not a freshman women seem to be and we out there talking about -- -- -- strategy to sort of you know full speed ahead let's look at the limits -- basically still -- the Democrats.
Well I think it's well we're gonna district -- every vote because this next election -- -- going to be critical so but we're definitely out there being active we're not gonna sit in the background enough -- taken a lot of the discussion that's happening.
Yeah actually Cathy McMorris Rodgers as the -- has organized a lot of these -- with our women of Republican women in getting us together and we did a special order on the house floor tonight.
Talking about what a Republican woman in us hopefully that a lot of people across the country I'll watch that and really see that we represent the population and what they want to accomplish.
Hi it's a good thing and we've gotten really organize and making sure that our our voice is going to be out there.
But doesn't really watching and -- family is seen up close currencies and assets of inheritance in the save lives nice to see candidacy.
