We -- had a lot of great reaction from our viewers to our -- segments with Obama impersonator Reggie Brown.
It's great to finally be hope.
Wait a minute.
This is the Huckabee studio yeah.
That is the last time I let Joseph Biden drive me anyway.
Probably the first show to feature Reggie and we've come to love and appreciate him as a really good and decent guy.
But boy he's taken a lot of heat for his last act at the last week's Republican leadership conference in New Orleans.
He was even pulled off the stage.
Now what can I say about Michelle Bachmann that she has already -- about herself.
The other days she called me -- one term president.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- So please welcome our friend Reggie Brown -- -- -- You had kind of a rough week last week you -- -- the Republican leadership conference.
And your entire segment got cut short what happened.
Well the way they explain -- me at first was that I went over my time and damme when the gentleman came up and escorted me out stage you send your time's up and walked back can.
Had the organizers thinking it's a great job everyone in the audience that time ran into me afterwards -- -- upset that I was able to finish my.
Sets in I think left to fill effect delivers great performance and I was all excited and everything may affect the hotel and all these articles popping up online in the different stories are coming out well -- One of the things that was said this was a statement it was released by.
The -- let's take a look at it found me on the screen.
And this is up from Charlie Davis he says had been in the room I would have pulled them sooner we have zero tolerance for racially insensitive jokes as soon as I realize what was going on I -- backstage.
And had him pull.
I'm gonna show just a little clip this is a piece of one of the things he did that one of the gags that you told and they need to be done similar things before us here and it's.
My favorite month is February.
Black History Month.
This is Michelle she celebrates the full month and you know I celebrate half.
My audience is laughing they thought it was funny.
-- -- -- Did you think I mean obviously never -- -- -- that would be interpreted as racially insensitive.
No not at all and that's.
Pretty light some people are saying racist.
Material and things that were coming up and I don't think it can be deemed either you know I I share the same.
Pretty much the same.
Backgrounds the president my -- -- my father's black and I wouldn't deliver any jokes -- materials and I think would offend my -- the president's or anyone in between.
He might not get invited to Thanksgiving you know it's -- -- -- -- -- -- -- am I so I can understand that is there a danger for comedians when they do political humor.
That what you think is funny and frankly what I think it's funny but I kind of a low pain threshold when it comes to humor after all losers in politics.
But it might offend somebody I mean you have to worry about them.
Well of course I think that nowadays.
You can offend anyone -- saying anything and one of these journalists who came up to me said.
Oh you're great but when he said the racial jokes I was offended and this is a white guys telling me that.
You offended by me making a joke about I know a black celebrate Black History Month -- a civil wire you -- like -- I wasn't but I was putting myself in the shoes of someone who might have been offended so when you take in that direction it's like.
What are you talking about just laugh if you think it's funny if you don't left the next -- You know Reggie we love you first of all we think -- a great Obama impersonator you've always been a great got to work with and -- continue to have a a welcome spot on the show.
And it's remind people you know when you -- -- comedian guess what.
They're gonna make jokes and sometimes they'll make -- about those of us who are standing around that's part of the gig.
Well if if President Obama we're here would he have something may be to say about this whole dust up that -- had.
Well I think you would say that's.
You did a great job what.
I look forward to seeing more -- -- -- the White House so.
A a lot of thanks.
And in.
