Today is July 2 the administration says the debt limit will be reached on August 2 now President Obama says.

That to tackle our massive national deficit.

Tax breaks must be targeted along with wasteful spending but that nothing is off the table and that it's time the government starts living within its means just like families do.

Now it would be nice if we could keep every tax break but we can't afford.

Because if we choose to keep those tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires.

Or for hedge fund managers and corporate -- dollars or for oil and gas companies pulling in huge profits without our help.

Then we'll have to make even deeper cuts somewhere else.

So the president says anything is possible but most Republicans are probably gonna disagree with that since they've insisted all along that they will not get behind any kind of tax hikes.

And the weekly GOP address senator Dan Coats from Indiana says the president should do what Indiana's governor Mitch Daniels did.

Which is cut taxes lower spending and pay down the debt.

Then everything will get.

Matter the president and Democrats in congress must recognize that their game plan is not working.

It's time to acknowledge that more government and higher taxes is not the answer to our problem.

It's time for bold action in a new plan to address our current crisis.
