And joining me now with reaction all of today's events with a host of justice would judge Janine and that's spinning -- and -- host of Geraldo at Large -- or -- good to see above.
I -- -- something to both of you.
I can't believe how wrong.
And ignorant and irresponsible even at times commentators and how pro prosecution that they have been in this case and are -- I'm -- throw it to you.
I had my doubts about Jose Baez in the beginning I did I I thought -- opening was frankly.
A below par.
Ripped to shreds.
Issue by issue the prosecution -- defense and I thought it was one of the most brilliant closes I ever saw.
Well I I absolutely agree with you showing but.
I think what -- successfully managed to do is something many many if not virtually all commentators failed to do.
He separated in the jury's mind he asked that the separate Vera motion.
Their absolute this case over this defendant and her lifestyle and her narcissistic.
And her selfishness.
And her partying.
On the grave of her child.
Whether the child died by accident in the swimming pool or by her own hand and -- homicide or by the hand of someone else -- -- homicide.
He managed to -- made the jury loose from what happened.
After the child died and had been focused on the facts and circumstances.
That led up to that child's death.
And whether or not the state prove beyond that to the exclusion of all reasonable doubt that this defendant committed the crime she was accused them.
And clearly the jury saw right through it right and they -- that not only did you overcharged that this death penalty but you have not proven your case.
-- -- judges what let me bring you wouldn't hear because.
I did when this first hit but when this case came out we saw the 31 days that -- and -- the way the mother reacted.
It was beyond human understanding for me and for others and there was an assumption.
The lies about the many of the lies about the job at universal what lies about the rich boyfriend.
At that point it seems almost incontrovertible.
Everybody -- But the standard that if we want but she was proven found guilty of lying.
Of -- was on the prosecution.
And that every step of the way -- go through all of it from the shovel to the smell in the car it was either totally impeached or contradicted by the defense.
And in that sense I don't think we still don't know how Caylee died we still don't know how the body was transported we still don't know how it got there.
They did not prove their case judge.
What you've gotten here is a case where a two year old body is found in a swamp.
Triple barber and bagged and thrown away as if it didn't matter at all she did not.
It's suicide she did not die of old age she did not have a terminal illness.
So the question is what happening -- there's no question that now the jury is made a decision.
That this defendant is to be acquitted on all major counts as it relates to the death of this child.
Bet you're right we will never know what let me tell you what happened here today show on.
What happened is.
In -- see as I -- work everyone expects.
Fingerprints DNA in a case where there he is no eyewitness there -- no videotape.
The victim is dead and cannot come back and testified we are sending a message.
The judge old fashioned way circumstantial evidence does not another.
John I admit that I went all those little importance I don't I'm not looking before it CSI evidence here.
The fact that she acted so what appropriately is important to me.
The fact that she party is abhorrent to me the fact that she lied is abhorrent to me she was found guilty of lying to law enforcement.
But it will be if the standard is on the prosecution.
You gotta give me evidence a -- on that jury.
Point you tell me where the evidences that she committed charter of -- nor any evidence says.
It's all about motive means opportunity -- gave -- the evidence person with a child let me finish the last person with a child was the mother.
You've got duct tape the campus bang -- everybody that minute that was connect did win.
The throwing aware of the body is connected to Casey -- the motive is that she was dating Tony Lazaro.
He didn't want the child sleeping overnight.
But others say you're not gonna leave elderly mother love this -- I think I don't know why aren't they telling you all get a new boyfriend -- -- there -- no way that it has to be a certain -- are certain why did you tell let me say that you look.
So everything you -- they -- camping the only if this was an inner city woman in these with the same -- she never would have been charged with capital murder in the first place that they whenever there was the pretty girl -- -- say this -- -- I.
Think was -- about Haley a little girl who is dead.
I can't -- any -- yeah.
I read that way -- -- desire for revenge by let me let the judge judge -- are doing this say.
I think critical -- prosecution here I'm asking you fought hard evidence.
2 I am -- -- way to Venezuela for the -- the standard is you've got to prove to a jury.
All I watch that every second of closing arguments and I watched hours upon hours of testimony.
Everything the defense brought up and obviously these commentators did not watch this or there that dominate here in a prejudice because it was so overwhelming.
How how Baez and and Cheney mason.
Ripped apart every argument about did this mother kill this little girl there was no evidence to support it.
So here's the question did they prove it I was in that courtroom.
I obviously yield to the jury here ready here we have.
Searches for chloroform that the other we're -- when she tried to take responsibility for those searches.
She was found to be a -- -- hit drama I'm sorry they defendant's mother and what you got is all of the evidence that the baby's body was found win.
What's brought home that the mother had a connection so let me bring you all about and there's a dead body in her car I delivered the body took me to -- This is -- scintilla of evidence that it was the accused.
Now is Harrison tell evidence why women all over the vehement at a Johnny you're not Hewitt -- d'antoni did it -- yeah.
What about the baby's -- There may be Dante Delgado admitted impersonating a law that would make -- -- I -- I did it Alabama and the rate at one point.
Look at to quote her attorney Baez you know okay that they paid at her as a slot.
As a party girl.
As a liar but there's no.
Evidence that prove she killed her daughter we listen this is what separates us -- From other countries we -- -- this is not mob law here.
And the cushy reacted in a way that I can't explain and because she lied did not prove it yet this girl Sean.
The only person who called for a slot -- a little earlier the prosecution was showing a continent of hill on that way he behaved after cards.
We are talking about and -- charge -- on this -- You have to prove the evidence beyond a reasonable doubt they -- let me -- -- it -- at night it will the jury said it didn't but if it -- that night John.
And your -- is -- and mystery is what you didn't see where they would admit I'm sorry I cannot say that it didn't chariot.
Heard this evidence.
They heard -- They know what the law is and they did their duty and I take some of follows on that after watching the closing arguments and seeing every bit of evidence -- -- Totally an outright or contradicted.
What is reasonable doubt you -- they have not convinced me now there's a part of me.
That still think she may have been involved.
She wasn't found innocent today she was found not guilty because the evidence didn't reach the standard.
And he's a very distinct and different things here and I I want to find out Joseph I want justice for Caylee.
And I want to know who did this and I wanna find them and I want that person get the death penalty or -- what we might.
