Remembering that terrible mass shooting at a political event in Tucson last January.

You'll remember a gunman shot nineteen people six of them died and congresswoman Gabby Gifford suffered a terrible head wound.

A man -- quick thinking is credited with helping to save her life.

And he will throw out the first pitch tonight.

At the all star game.

Members of the family of little Christina Taylor Green you'll remember she was killed in that shooting the youngest of the victims her family to deliver the starting lineup cards.

She was born on September the eleventh 2001.

And was the daughter of the Los Angeles Dodgers scout John Green.

In the grand daughter of the former Phillies Mets and yankees manager Dallas Green.

We're looking to have with us today congressman -- then in -- She hired -- -- Hernandez to work in her office less than a week before that attack -- he's with us now at Chase Field as we overlook the intern one of the man credited with saving -- -- how's your life these days you know it's been really hectic and really busy.

Because of what happened -- had a lot of opportunities that I never would have had report.

Guns speak -- especially young people about the importance of getting involved but also getting an education.

-- I'm very busy but I'm loving every second of being able to talk about things that are important to me.

How much that realization has changed your perspective you know.

I think you really have a different world outlook when you realize that in in ten seconds you really can make a difference.

And as we saw it was less than thirty where nineteen people were injured in Tucson.

So for me was really rewarding to have an -- work with the American Red Cross.

In March -- on the -- -- -- Saturday were trained thousands of people around the country in basic first aid and CPR.

But also take -- the opportunity to go speak to groups like.

Treo and upward -- which is a program for.

Low income and first generation culture about the importance of getting an education and becoming those doctors becoming those -- who really can make a difference yes I'm going in the money -- do -- for people.

I thought you and tonight I wonder how your fastball list.

That I didn't practice saying I actually got a chance to work was one of our staffers in a parking lot of the congressional office.

Some hoping that there's no trees like -- the first place where practice but hopefully no bouncing you and Joseph Garagiola senior.

Among those whose lives were changed by that it's that you know her family.

I've met with them several times and it's great to be able to see John and in Dallas particularly her hurt her brother.
