All right let's bring in Texas congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee also a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.

To see how she feels state congressman great to see you thank you for joining us so what's your take on the deal.

What we're meeting right now with the vice president of the United States and all of us have made a commitment and I'm gonna say it publicly on.

National television we're gonna read this.

Document we gonna read this moving target this unknown entity and we gonna understand it before we vote for it.

Frankly -- job for those of us -- Democrats is to nurture and grow our values.

Our values are that there are people who are hurting out there and they're dependent on Medicare.

Medicaid -- -- security those are not ugly words those and -- as tasteful words and we believe they are in fact attractive -- to put in front of people.

So this is the question who does this legislative initiative help.

Does -- help small businesses that create jobs.

Does -- help schools.

That are trying to keep their doors open so that students can come and have federal pell grant to keep them in school -- out colleges.

That's the question that -- -- -- is it justice for all -- justice for a few and my friends who have been influenced by the Tea Party.

Didn't allow us to sit down at the table and have a long range negotiation.

Dealing with both revenues and cuts.

Are now I believe the ones that see it.

Tell the American people that this was a better way I don't know if this is the bad way but I'm gonna give it my bad shot.

And listened to all of the views about whether or not there is justice.

For -- and congresswoman are you reassured at all but the fact the White House in their official release on exactly what this deal does.

They talk about things saying it does protect pell grants it will protect those on Medicare Medicaid until security.

Is that reassurance good enough for you coming from the White House.

Well let me say this I know the president's heart.

And I recognize that -- eating some sandwiches that we don't like.

But I believe that his support is for these.

Basic necessities for the American people no matter what background you come from.

As I said the vice president is meeting without caucus now.

We will be meeting with a number of caucuses throughout the afternoon.

I think that it is also the responsibility for individual members of the United States congress to me.

And make their decision I will tell you this I would like to have on the floor of the house the lifting of the debt ceiling a clean debt ceiling.

That has a sentence in -- that Medicaid.

Medicare and Social Security will be protective my constituents many of them.

Not watching right now.

I'm concerned by the Social Security checks will come the next day and this is not a joke and I don't like anyone saying the president -- said this.

Beyond a Social Security check on SSI and see -- it's a joke.

See whether or not a woman in a nursing home I am told had to be taken.

To the hospital because she'd gotten.

So worked up about not having the reimbursement for the -- that she needed to stay in -- nursing home.

Are -- a student that is trying to get into college so.

I would say I don't wanna be -- -- war with the White House.

I am not happy right now but I am a I'm happy war yeah that's gonna read what we have and be part of the solution if I --
