-- -- The American.
Everything they possibly can now I'm -- -- -- we're getting yeah.
That was congresswoman Michelle Bachmann campaign for president and Orlando Florida and this is our client welcome back and thank you very much for sticking with us your chocolate we appreciate you being here having a great time today and I want to share with you our producer Megan dumping.
Shares with -- the following.
Which is some federal money pledged to Joplin Missouri and other disasters are being diverted to help victims of hurricane -- a move that is raising the concerns US Senator Clinton -- -- apparently these monies are being taken away from job in relief funds to go war and when you look at -- and that doesn't even include what happened in Alabama in April when 250 people were able to cross out the tornado.
So it's tough out there but I thought you wanna know that Internet because it was relevant to what we've been -- now always relevant to what we're discussing is Bernard Whitman is today image guru He didn't -- He is -- Clinton -- -- is smart guy Bernard how we doing today.
Well maybe we don't have Bernard just yet and I should point out that congresswoman Hayworth we believe.
He's just fine that we technical difficulties -- -- room.
Her district -- One be with us again soon and now we have an artery here I am hey Chris -- -- thanks coming out.
Bernard you miss my lavish praise for -- -- repeated because it was so good and I'm embarrassed at all and I -- I said -- don't don't hesitate don't hesitate to say it again.
Don't okay don't hesitate to bring it out there -- we've -- talking about today the underpinning of our discussion today that President Obama has 38%.
Job approval rating in the latest Gallup is 55%.
That's a very dire circumstance.
People are concerned about the economy the moment is one is now political crisis political -- -- for the president and his team how do you turn around.
And we'll put the question to you because you know how to do that.
Turn the discussion and on the economy -- job.
I think he's got to take a discussion straight to the American people and frankly I wish the president had continued his bus tour I think does a very smart idea He had August completely to himself congress is out of session.
And I think I would have.
I continue the effort that He began -- a three day tour he's got to take his message of job creation cutting taxes cutting spending directly to the American people he's got.
A number of ideas that I think frankly Republicans and Democrats may be -- Washington.
The Republicans and Democrats and independents -- -- the country can rally around I think that includes things like getting these free trade agreements passed which will create.
To tend to twelve billion dollars and exports particularly for California I think that we ought to fund this infrastructure.
Job -- because.
A billion dollars in investment there can turn.
In just 30000 jobs -- -- Put fifteen in about 500 billion dollars you can create up to fifteen million jobs in the sector where unemployment is 50% higher than national average I think -- We got to streamline the -- approval process because that can unleash entrepreneurship create jobs for small businesses.
These are a number of things that I think Republicans and Democrats.
And can -- -- in and also the one thing that got lost and in all the hurricane conversation.
Was -- fact that Republicans somehow have decided that they're actually against tax cuts.
Because the president has made very clear that He wants to extend.
The payroll tax holiday for employees.
I consider having apparel tax holiday for employers that seems to be a very common sense practical low -- way.
To get this economy moving again.
And that does this thing nobody's sure and I were just talking about this these things that yes arm.
And -- due to the economy but I don't think there's any idea that even if we did everything you just described that we would end up with the kind of growth rate that would -- how broad coalition building for the -- I don't think that when you look at our numbers are we independence and you look at how his numbers are the folks in this in the -- Who delivered this historic victory for him in 2000 and -- -- deeply deeply skeptical about and He sort of stuck with coalition building micro targeting.
Against them strategy -- -- kind of too late to be reaching out four broad coalition.
So well actually no I I think that what the president needs to do.
Is as -- -- get out of Washington take his case straight to the American people I think the more He stays in Washington and gets pinned between congressional Republicans congressional Democrats which is what.
Bill Clinton faced in in 1995.
This smaller and smaller He becomes if He can get Al.
And make his case directly to the American people an appeal to the fact that yes the economic recovery is slower than would all -- But we're on course we are creating jobs we are growing albeit very small.
And -- compared to where the Republicans want to go which is this.
I had no tax increases at all costs even if it means we -- defaults on our -- this is an extreme position that we frankly.
Just cannot afford in America and I think that the president will over the next.
Eighteen months be able to convince the American people on their next twelve months -- as they convince the American people.
That we are better off continuing on the progress that we've made today -- and that risking I'm retrenchment.
In turning government back over to the Republicans.
Only -- okay thanks very much we appreciate you being with good -- -- like -- Okay Asia I want your chance to be the most important -- that we had ever on apparently.
This is probably going to blow the doors are the that we got to -- -- after this.
You're -- says multiple organ in Baltimore in week one.
-- give you an act for your three TD prediction.
You know the power play obeys the law gambling is illegal that an outrage -- -- -- for you to -- and quite frankly I'm a little disappointed.
Most important obviously obviously the most important conversation.
I just and went -- I think Bernard.
-- -- Clinton thing and people talk about how many seem like Clinton you know -- Democrat.
Who come forward.
To say be more like Clinton -- more like Clinton but you're -- go now that when you put the -- when you look at the electoral map.
Bill Clinton had thing going for them.
That Barack Obama does not and that is something called that would -- what I call hillbilly firewall but that is.
West Virginia Kentucky Tennessee.
Arkansas North Carolina West Virginia.
These places where you get votes if -- Bill Clinton you're gonna go and you think I'm going to liberal and I'm I'm -- -- and the kids from Hot Springs I'm okay.
None of those state well Virginia maybe.
But no -- shaken up for the president he's not only Tennessee -- Kentucky your -- -- Virginia he's gonna struggle in the Western Pennsylvania.
I think that I think you're very right when you get him to a demand for the president said.
Build coalition all they -- hold Michigan -- -- -- you know Goldman soda you gotta take Ohio and and the Florida look brutally tough.
-- -- -- -- -- But -- -- -- you need Florida Ohio and that's assuming Pennsylvania would be in the back that He has any sort of that's with the -- as.
And -- -- -- back my earlier point about the importance of those in Florida will be.
They'll -- -- -- thanks very big win and now.
Now we want to leave you as we do every day with the word from our French are.
There are Cheney was a model of discretion has.
A number to -- to be in the White House that's why the president trusted him He gave his case counseling quiet.
And now He speaks He waited one full term.
After the bush presidency and remember -- I would say He is the most maligned.
Probably since Richard Nixon not just a man who got opposition.
In their criticism and who is considered a man of you know from malignant evil personification.
Of that in many ways.
So He took a lot of slings and arrows and I think He has a right I haven't read the book -- and in the words of -- famous historian who was asked if she read a book.
She said yes but not personally so I haven't read about it personally.
I've seen the quotes but I'm not surprised this is -- -- one shot.
Had setting the record straight the way He sees it and I think he's taken and I'm sure heads --
