So five lawmakers are choosing to sit out the president Obama's long awaited speech tonight on jobs and one of them is Republican senator -- to admit.

He says he's just not interested in hearing what the president has to say tonight listen to what he's had earlier.

I -- to listen to another political speech from this president if He had a jobs plan.

It would be written down He would send it over to us you would have it I would have -- we could be discussing it today.

But that's not the way this president operates.

He is gonna give a speech and then dribble out what He is gonna do he's gonna wait and see what his.

Political -- there's and the union bosses telling the -- I'm just so frustrated.

-- Joseph Walsh is another one on that list He says He will not be there in attendance tonight He is a Tea Party caucus member congressman welcome good to good to have you here this morning.

Thank you Martha so so why not go to the speech says some say that's it just disrespectful John Cornyn was on earlier and He said you know He wouldn't do that He believes is right to show up.

-- when I first heard last week.

That He was gonna call it joint session of congress I said I'm not gonna be there.

Look he's demean the very notion of a joint session of congress typically we reserve these things for heads of state from around the world or.

Presidents during times of war or very momentous occasions.

This president it seems like every time someone -- there need.

He wants to give a big speech and this senator the -- just said I'm we're tired of speeches.

If you've got a plan show what's the plan put it in writing if you're really serious about working.

Quit -- big political speeches I I said it last week and I say it now this is.

This is a campaign speech and I just don't want to be a prop -- that.

Instead I'm gonna -- back home and I'm gonna -- with forty to fifty small business men and women the real job creators in this country.

And I'm gonna find out -- down what Washington should be doing.

Are -- let me ask you this because you know when you look at -- a 400 billion dollar plan that that is supposed to stimulate job growth in this country.

Valerie Jarrett close advisor to President Obama suggested this morning.

That basically.

It's gonna come from tax reform that basic if you eliminate the loopholes that companies like GE and many others.

Have enjoyed and you forced them to pay the taxes that they need to pay in this country you're gonna bring -- -- new revenues and that that's where the revenue growth would come from.

Give any problem with that idea.

No look a lot of the Republicans have talked about simplifying.

The tax code for years so it it and again Martha I will respond and to anything the president puts in writing.

But based on a lot of what we've seen so far again it's gonna be more of this same.

You haven't seen more -- Let's says I'm asking you if there's no actual it if it did not spending cuts but there is elimination of tax loopholes to cover.

You know good chunk of this money we don't know how much is going to be yet you would vote in favor of that the president presented bad -- cracked.

I would certainly look at it and I'd be open to getting rid -- loopholes wherever we can get a river -- loopholes but let me make this important point.

The last thing we need is more government spending to stimulate this economy.

He's done that he's been down that road before.

And it's made everything dramatically worse we're not gonna go there again the job creators are out there -- that they're not in Washington.

I think you know I just letting it -- but this issue of tax reform because I've heard -- from both sides right.

Then if you have real tax reform -- bring in some additional revenues and I understand that you know that -- sort of the one palatable way.

To raise revenues as far as Republicans are concerned so you see would be willing to look at that.

-- what else would you want to see in terms of a job creators in and real spending cuts that you would like to have.

Looking at it does is there anything that you can't get up and say you know what that's a great idea President Obama an ominous sign -- that -- -- may be I doubt it but may be and I'm open to it remember I'm gonna respond to whatever He puts forward.

I am sick and tired of speech is and the American people are if he's got some interesting ideas.

Given that given to congress and let's talk about -- -- But remember we are not -- increase taxes on Americans and we're not can increase government spending.

It very very quick as I got -- there's no official Republican response Michelle Bachmann has said that she's gonna respond -- her art.

Press conference that she's gonna -- should there be an official Republican us.

No no He.

Let him give this speech is.

Will respond to what He says it will try to work with what He says back but no more speeches hi Joseph Los Carson thank you very much good to have you -- you I.
