Species and former speaker of the house Newt Gingrich -- lot of Manchester, New Hampshire.
-- -- great to see you this morning what do you Brookline Massachusetts -- pledge of allegiance may be going away.
Well I think it's ironic as we approach 9/11.
That there are people who don't think patriotism matters they don't think teaching young children do say the pledge of allegiance matters I think they're totally wrong.
And I would hope that any tax paid school.
We'll say the pledge of allegiance and frankly -- wonder -- the taxpayers ought to subsidize it if it's not gonna teach people how to be patriotic and how to be pro American.
A watching here take in this little excerpt from the president's forty plus minute speech tonight.
And I like to get your opinion mr.
speaker on this here's the president.
The people of this country work hard to meet their responsibilities.
The question tonight.
Is whether will meet hours.
The question is whether in the face of an ongoing national crisis.
We can stop the political circus and actually do something to help the economy.
But can you put politics aside so do you agree with the president we should do that in just work on the -- million without jobs.
-- I don't think we've had a more misleading.
President in my lifetime.
There is no belly and He said thirteen or seventeen times last night passed the bill quickly.
And so I -- bigger -- office they haven't gotten the bill.
He promised us He would tell us how he's gonna pay for the bill.
But the fact He then went on to say is actually not gonna tell us -- a bunch of ideas and about ten days that might or might not be part of the bill.
This is like having one of your teenage kids wreck your car.
Show up and tell you owe them a new car.
But promising you that if you'll -- the car for them now when they're fifty fighters also play it back I mean this is nonsense this whole speech.
Was like it was like watching Groundhog Day this this was some of there's the speech in -- she promises 800 billion dollars in stimulus is now smaller like -- most movie sequels is less interest in its less useful.
And his history is just terrible -- what He said blessed to have an Abraham Lincoln.
Was just totally factually misleading.
The federal government did its subsidize railroads but there was no federal department of railroads.
The federal government did encourage land grant colleges but there was no federal department of of college of education at that time federal government did encourage the research that led the Internet but by the way it was IBM.
Intel.
Xerox.
Dowell.
Apple Microsoft.
Here all these are private companies that actually developed and so I think the big mean bush as president has bad history backing up bad philosophy.
Is really very sobering.
Well mr.
speaker you today are in New Hampshire what are -- -- for president or some oh yeah that's right -- Of course we say the other night at the Ronald Reagan library at the big debate over on that lefty news channel.
You got in some great shots for folks who missed it here's sudden Newt Gingrich.
Zing in the media.
Not -- then you're effort to.
-- Republicans fighting each other five for one I hope all of my friends up here.
I've been repudiated.
Every effort of the news media to get Republicans to fight each other to protect Barack Obama who deserves to be defeated and all of us are committed as a team.
Whoever the nominee as we are all for defeating Barack.
Mr.
speaker.
Really taken exception to that particular question or.
When you look at the debate in totally a look at some of the stuff that John Harris from that looking website Politico asked and also Brian Williams.
It seemed like.
They had an agenda.
That they did have an agenda and I think it's disingenuous -- them to deny it.
Look I am I have lots of friends who are reporters.
I think that the news media plays an essential role in this country.
But the elite media is so biased it doesn't even know it's biased.
It did it assumes -- what it's doing is just normal.
But the fact is if you go back and you review that debate.
There was a continuous effort to build up very small points in the big disagreements and to pay no attention to president Obama's record.
How could you have a debate just a few days after -- zero new jobs were created.
And not spend a good part of the debate on why is the Obama program failing.
The same thing -- last night.
Here's a president who comes in with a bad program.
And yet I don't think the -- and to this day hold him accountable.
-- -- and yet I like about the stage for 12 He did talk about lower tax a corporate tax rates.
He did talk about infrastructures He did talk about payroll cassette things -- Republicans have been talking about as well did -- any of that music years.
Well it depends you -- with a the president about me got to look at the fine print.
He wants lower tax rates after -- eliminates lots of loopholes.
Well you know the fact is the company you whose president was sitting there.
-- happened to -- -- almost no taxes last year for a good reason.
They used every one of President Obama is Green tax credits.
Now He can't have it both ways and if He wants to incentivize companies to use up tax credits that's what.
That means they don't pay taxes Bragg which does He want right and then -- -- two deals with China.
But -- got in the yesterday's -- reports it is going to be a big month for you because it's all about the debate three straight weeks you ought to extremely strong start.
Thanks much for joining us this more to do if you and camp.
