There's an election going on right now what you -- -- call it all stems from congressman Anthony Weiner and a bit of -- sex scandal there and that.

He has stepped down and holding a special election to fill his congressional seat it's -- district here in new in New York.

It covers.

Some parts of Brooklyn and queens.

And the Democrats outnumber Republicans in this area 31 and yet it has turned into.

A very close race and obviously any seat in congress.

Any vote in congress.

The way things are right now is an important one and a lot of national attention on this race.

And our own hot stars of Fox News radio has been following -- all very closely for us -- -- think for joining us.

Still good morning -- and you know I live among the indigenous liberal people in Brooklyn and this district this is -- this is my congressman we're talking about here.

Well here congressman -- where's your congressman.

Indeed and now the shocker as that a Republican could be sitting in -- seats.

Which could be awkward.

But but yeah that that's the big shock credible this all the polling that that we're seeing.

Indicates the Republican has a slight lead.

Over that the Democrats the -- the Republican Bob Turner who was a businessmen David -- for and it is the Democrat -- to show you how how close this race is they actually have.

Former President Clinton making robocalls.

On behalf of the Democrats a lot of folks woke up this morning to Bill Clinton's voice on there answering machine.

CI and in fact one of our hair stylists here -- also in that district and and she said she actually gonna visit last night.

From democratic supporters reminding her that the election is today.

And are urging her to go to the polls.

So certainly a lot at stake here.

Bob Turner again wasn't taken all that seriously at first because the district that's overwhelmingly.

A democratic than David Weber who comes from a family of local politicians.

Would be considered a shoe and and know what we're seeing in -- a local papers is analysis basically -- all it's because of Obama this is a close race because it's another referendum on President Obama.

Wolf we're to believe the polling data it is and of the public one of them love polls which is from a left leaning organization public policy.

Group says that to people are very unhappy with the president and his policies.

Especially those policies dealing with Israel.

A very large Jewish population in this district and they're very very unhappy with the president.

So they could be sending out a message to to have -- as a result of this this race.

But I but I think the interesting thing to look at his history was 1920.

That's the last time they elected.

A Republican to congress out of that district so -- this is a shocker for a lot of people.

And it's also helping to really boost up the Tea Party.

Now a lot of folks would be surprised to find out that there's a Tea Party -- Brooklyn but there is and it's very active and of those folks have been on the ground boots on the ground.

And they've been really rattling the bushes on behalf of Bob Turner.

Yeah He went to the Jewish vote and that's a very interesting component here it is a heavily Jewish.

A district and you mentioned that one of their issues that is turning them toward Bob Turner the Republican.

Is the Obama administration's.

Policies and toward Israel.

That the Jewish vote can no longer be counted on is being -- -- -- democratic but there's another.

Issue.

In the Jewish sector here.

Which is that the orthodox Jews are offended by different weapons vote in favor of gay marriage -- is Bob Turner is a poll was how big is that.

That could be a pretty big factor here and -- -- what you -- -- people don't think of when they think in New York I don't think it's a very religious area but but it really does us a very diverse.

Religious population.

But many of them hold the same values when it comes to those hot button cultural war issues like gay marriage and that is a big issue.

A -- in the orthodox community and also within the Catholic community.

And -- the smaller population of -- evangelical conservative Christians but there are a number then this part of Brooklyn.

But going back to that going back to the numbers and how this will impact President Obama.

I'm not sure the White House is going to be if in fact if in fact wept for and -- that's a pretty good shot that He could win and I mean this three to one or Democrats over Republicans.

I'm not sure the White House may get the message here that He -- shouldn't be a close win.

This should be a landslide for the Democrats and it's not.

Andy tie that -- with the story that was in the New York Times over the weekend that some Democrats are really beginning to wonder if President Obama is.

Going to have trouble getting -- elected in 2012.

This is something that the Democrats need to pay attention to it.

Yeah people are watching -- for a wide variety of reasons.

-- -- -- -- and the other interesting components of this race is that there's redistricting going on and there is a chance but this entire congressional seat -- were also.

Worked up over.

Is going to be eliminated and because of that.

There is speculation that maybe the Democrats.

Didn't try as hard to get a strong candidate because they figure this candidates going to be knocked off anyway yeah.
