Brooklyn where nine year old boy it was allowed for the first time to walk home from his daycare.

Alone his parents have walked the -- with him in advance but He missed the turn ended -- lost and out of all people the world He -- asked He asked some psychopath.

Who took him home and eventually murdered him and he's good defense attorney now and that's what we're going to be talking about -- -- -- Jennifer McCann.

And she is when you say trying the case a little bit in advance on FaceBook.

She's thirty.

She's some people say inexperience and she threw a lot of stuff out there and that is some people lawyers say is not a good idea.

And she's -- now getting threats.

People not very happy -- anybody who's gonna defend.

This killer somebody has to but all right so let's get to a Joey and art there.

-- -- Yeah.

First of all.

And broken right this is kind of my backyard -- the prosecutors prosecuting the case she and I started in the district attorney's office together Julian Wright moment and she's gonna she's tough she's tough as nails I've look you know but never gonna against.

What the defense attorney should be credited -- is -- -- she took his case on pro ball so she's not getting paid.

I'm and I try never to say anything bad about any -- Think he's experiences things and bad it's just the fact I mean this god bless her she's thirty years old.

She did not come out of a prosecutor's office where when -- -- -- prosecutors over you have the opportunity -- lot of cases.

When your way in the private -- he's don't try as many cases.

So you walk out of the courtroom for the first time and there's media everywhere and I've been in that situation your natural reaction as the lawyers -- Obama might just want us our patch them up.

And a lot of times is bad and they keep your mouth shut we'll just see something short and sweet.

She then went that nontraditional way as you put this holding on FaceBook which.

It's so precarious and so treacherous when -- dealing with the media as a representative of somebody else's life.

That less is almost always more that I've made mistakes for the record -- -- open my mouth too much and talking too much that I learned from.

And I'm sure Jennifer of the defense attorney has learned a lot -- know tremendous lesson for -- just.

So -- Arthur acknowledges He knows this woman -- pretty soft on her here so people are saying it's good.

-- professional -- shouldn't even have FaceBook pages at all.

You know it's a mixed bag let me take the other pointed out -- you have a -- it's a different generation where just social media generation we have FaceBook we have Twitter we have.

Everything the Internet it's a big source now a lot of times when a case comes out the media of course they capitalize on -- and their point of view was put out there now.

First things first it's a horrific thing what happened to this child horrific an unimaginable okay.

As defense attorneys -- had very unpopular jobs and as a result of that you know people are a lot of times not happy about the people that we represent -- and that's just a sad fact however one of the wonderful things about this country that people get I've actually been in situations.

You know where the family has actually said to me you know we have nothing against you we respect the fact -- -- -- job and that makes me feel really good because they can distinguish between.

You know that the fact that I'm trying to be a lawyer and an advocate and the fact that you know I'm not.

A criminal origins of life.

He keeps saying that -- she's like I'm not I'm not.

Does that only what could I don't remember what He did on -- defending his constitutional rights.

Which is what she should be say it's true but I didn't quite as is that listen she's using this medium in her way I'm not going to you know be -- this attorney she's she's using the medium to her advantage I think.

She's getting a lot of comments the comments happened to be negative comments as you pointed out happened to be in -- death threat variety.

That's her choice that's a perspective that's -- prerogative what I really think.

Is that in the future -- even going to see warm and FaceBook being used and has the medium to balance it out a lot of times on these you know -- programs.

You have people who are convicted even before they even try -- and sold -- -- -- you have to balance it out a little bit and I think what she's doing well I say he's inexperienced.

You know I don't now.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- the judge brought this up.

And I again I know judge my dog for almost twenty years he's -- he's number 123 whatever your -- amendment popped -- -- in the city.

He said -- -- -- on the record do you have enough experience to try this case because -- in the last thing they want.

Is this case to be tried in the prosecutor in Brooklyn Joseph lines is said.

There's no plea bargains that he's going to be -- write a jury gonna convict -- and then a judge will sentence.

The last the worst thing -- get everything goes on appeal and they find ineffective assistance of tells me she didn't know what she was doing and she made a lot of.

Mistake well -- -- let's ask about the FaceBook page itself I mean is there are any case for a -- jury didn't have to maybe change the venue or does no really if FaceBook is everywhere.

Problems everywhere and you don't eat.

Interestingly -- what we do now -- attorneys for witnesses as we really have our people our associates walk and find out witnesses FaceBook information that we can use -- to -- their credibility and to find out what they're saying to a point here when we selected jury whether what they're saying is accurate whether it's not accurate when their forthcoming -- -- not thought that the comedian she has a FaceBook page he's using in the -- if you believe he's.

-- it's it's useful you know it's a free country should.

-- I don't know what your breathing you shouldn't care.

What is she shouldn't get.

When you get about with a twelve people are gonna be in that box right make sure that those -- the best twelve people to listen to the law and apply the law.

And do whatever research you gotta do about mental disease and defects.

If that's the good defense she's gonna go with I mean that's where our efforts should be exerted now I mean okay fellows I think throughput -- Little -- on or whatever but.

It those are things that you you have to just let them so someone says you're -- your -- to this -- he's an animal he's a month that went -- That was it at lunch Delaware -- and marsteller the first morning they said -- beat the woman she was bloody she -- -- the hospital etc.

etc.

and you every instinct in your body -- you wanna scream from the highs only cracked it's actually were.
