For equal opportunity -- group chaired by Fox News analyst Linda Chavez recently traveled to Madison Wisconsin speaking university students about affirmative action.

Things quickly went downhill.

-- being okay.

Okay.

All right joining us now from Denver is Linda Chavez for small.

Before we get to that an eruption what.

Is the main point that you -- group wants to get across the university Wisconsin and other places the main point.

Well the main point is bill that we are an organization that believes in color blind equal opportunity we believe that you should not be judged by the color your skin you shouldn't be discriminated against on that basis.

We also shouldn't be given preference.

And so what we've done over the course of the last sixteen years is to study the admissions policies at various universities across the country.

To find out what role race plays in -- -- and our latest study which was released this week was at the University of Wisconsin.

And what we found there was that race plays a hue trawl.

In deciding who gets in blacks and Hispanics are favored whites and Asians are on favored.

How much -- they favored blacks and Hispanics well how much advantage of that.

Let let me give you an analysis everybody's heard that if you smoke you have a likelier chance of dying of lung cancer of the odds that are fourteen to one.

Let me compare that to what the odds are getting -- to school at the University of Wisconsin Madison if you were black compared to white or Asian.

You have a 576.

Times greater chance of being admitted if -- black with the same rates and test scores.

As if you -- white.

Or Asian arms -- your scores -- the same team.

You're gonna get admitted words a white person my daughter -- -- might not.

If your scores are -- if your if your a black or Hispanic student in high school in your scores are lower than the competing wider Asian student.

You can still LeapFrog over here.

Still gonna get -- -- that's exactly right in fact the highest scoring students who were black or Hispanic.

Actually scored lower than the lower lowest court trial of white in Asian student so it's a huge -- okay.

Now the the -- -- at the university are unrepentant.

I mean they don't like you they don't wanna hear it they -- give you permission to come on campus but they also gave those students permission to disrupt -- proceedings correct.

I think they did.

More than give permission the vice -- close to the university actually egged on the minority student groups called a meeting of them.

Basically lied to them said that our purpose in our organization is too.

Outlaw these kinds of groups and to make sure that there are not students collar at university Wisconsin was propaganda an -- right OK I'm.

This is this -- -- vice president this is vice Provo.

For diversity in climate that I -- you right there right this is this is a guy named Damon Williams.

All right he's again vice Provo for diversity and climate.

I guess the climate of Madison Wisconsin is cold.

But they do have a probable for quiet man.

Up there Wisconsin so he's a -- And He said quote I'm most excited about how well the students represented themselves and shows more B -- of how well -- represented themselves.

The passion with which they engaged -- respectful tone and how they did it.

And a thoughtful listener questions and interactions now in your opinion ms.

Chavez where the -- -- respectful to your representatives who were trying to get.

Their point across at the school.

Absolutely not respectful of the fact they -- so on respectful that when we had our press conference.

The manager of the hotel had to issue a statement He described the group as a mob.

More than a hundred students forced their way -- not to employees to the ground.

Stop the proceedings from taking place and Roger Clegg the president of our organization had to.

Essentially NSA or to bounce pass well and the police -- -- -- the gone the distance respectful now.

We've contacted all these University of Wisconsin people they can come on Monday they want they want they're gonna run and hide so it's -- same -- game.

It's we're gonna do we want even -- -- a state run institution with taxpayer money.

Okay we're gonna you know admit -- we want and if you don't like it we're gonna shout you down and have a mob mentality to a have a correctly.
