Well I got I got emails yesterday from everybody I know giving me suggestions on what I should or shouldn't say.
And included in those emails was and -- from.
-- leading radio talk show host and New Mexico on -- radio.
Who said that for two days He had conducted a -- Call in let's give Gary some singers that He might use in the debate so.
This was among a list of fourteen singers that were sent to me apparently by call ends to that -- so.
I think it was kind of a New Mexico.
They're very collective New Mexico a comfort that gave me that.
Gave me that line.
I will fight any of that you elated it very well you it was a good delivery and it got a lot of attention a lot of laughs those so good but good for you that.
Talked a little bit about the more substance stand it you know elements of what you talked about last night I wanna play a little bit -- from last evening and get get your spots and add onto a little bit -- -- listen.
Good to I think the biggest threats to our national security is the fact that we're bankrupt.
So I am promising to submit a balanced budgets to congress in the year 2013.
And included in that is a 43%.
Reduction in military spending.
As a big reduction in military spending.
I know that you have you know done a lot of cost cutting and -- at a cost cutting -- New Mexico.
Governor -- vetoed a lot of spending bills to which if they've got a lot of credit for that.
-- 43% cut defense spending how to do that.
Well the operative word here is there of the operative question I think is can we provide a strong national defense for this country and cut military spending by 43%.
The operative word here is defense and yes we can but we can't be on offense and we can't continue to nation build.
I advocated getting out of -- Iraq and Afghanistan tomorrow.
And I'm not operating in a vacuum here Martha I was on a conference call a couple of weeks ago with about five guys who do this for a living.
And we talked about it on the line by line basis its military personnel it's the it's the bureaucratic support staff.
To go along with those in uniform it's.
Research and development not compromising.
The notion that we should be vigilant.
Against.
Against military threats it's a nuclear warheads.
You know do we really need to blow up the world nine times there might five times be enough and I've lived my entire life looking at that.
So.
I am promising to submit a balanced budget to congress as president of the United States.
And that means reducing government spending by 43%.
Very I think we're on the verge of a monetary collapse unless we do this and Russia is the example of a monetary collapse.
