Personal story segment tonight the Democratic Party is rightly concerned about -- Obama's falling poll numbers as you sit in the talking points some other Republican theme will most likely be.

That America is in steep decline.

Joining several washing -- and Keith Ellison from Minnesota to -- do you believe first of all that America's on the skids.

No way America's best days are ahead of her and all you need to do is look at the immigration -- people wanna come to America.

This is the -- -- this is a land of opportunity everybody knows that abroad the folks who live here ought to be a little bit more appreciative of the great country we have.

All right the let me let me play devil's -- He said two things -- America's best days are ahead of it.

And -- cynic might say that's because -- is so bad now they can't get any worse and you don't point to be unemployment rate.

The dead the in passing congress is solving problems and -- And second people wanna come from Zambia to a man to America from Mexico to America -- we understand that from -- -- here.

But that doesn't mean if things are good here.

And the Republican Party is gonna basically say we our country in decline I think it's really hard for President Obama account of that.

Well being of all you needed to do was look at being -- and people -- wave in the American flag.

You know today and -- congress I've met with a group from a it Egypt -- telling me you know how do you guys do it how do you make this great democracy work.

I tell -- this message you know we fight a -- a lot you know but the fact is this is the greatest country in the world because we can debate.

I can say whatever I want I can criticize.

Anybody I want to and that nobody's gonna come get me in that what do you -- because I said something bad about somebody in power.

-- of excellence that's -- -- theoretically you're correct you but you're talking philosophically down on trying to get into the nuts and bolts of things look let's go there.

You've got an economy that's failing.

You've got a government.

And administration -- spent.

-- five point three trillion at least to try to stimulate economy and the war now I want more.

They -- no one another half trillion dollar stimulus to do it it's not gonna happen house not gonna pass that as you know OK but Americans are going pay.

We don't have leadership right now.

To solve the problems of Republican Party itself is divided you know that I mean it divided it -- -- they -- divided they don't know where to go oh okay so.

From a from a philosophical -- -- -- -- his country but from nuts and bolts -- particularly on the economy we're in trouble.

We're in trouble with the bill we've we've had times before that would top you know the 1930s would tell what you wanna catch and -- No but but I'm telling you why am optimistic.

And I'm telling you that look I don't even like calling this -- the stimulus I think the American Society of Civil Engineers says.

We have crumbling infrastructure.

If we invested in our infrastructure we put a lot of people to work we have safer infrastructure.

I don't know.

Say fine and if we were run in a circle is we could do and I support to a 100% but you can't do with a fourteen and a half trillion dollar debt.

You can't don't have the money and no we're gonna give a modest apartment -- Chinese.

Bill but interest rates are lower than they did in many many long years of narrow.

-- -- -- -- I don't know.

Think about don't think about this.

It was during the civil war this war when Lincoln.

Came in pulled together the Intercontinental railroad and -- He had a real crisis on -- -- But even look at it that way He bet on America He believed we could do we think after World War II we had a national debt.

Higher as a percentage of GDP do we have now.

An Eisenhower said you know what we're gonna build interstate highway system.

I'm telling it at times of crisis great leaders pulled through project the vision and we get behind him and it's not.

Easy but you know what we do it because we're Americans and we don't take nothing.

-- terms of backing down -- lost.

Well I'd like I'd like this period of your remarks I don't have any any difficulty with the spirit of your remarks.

But as Charles Krauthammer just said most Americans disagree with the polls say.

Most Americans have lost confidence in the Obama administration.

Sit across the board particularly -- economic ground when the president's approval ratings and economics hovering now around 30%.

So we've all of this pessimism with the banks not lending.

Which small business not expanding with the Specter of Obama care in the horizon which is gonna cost business more.

To pay for its health insurance on its employees with all of that America's -- you -- -- We might have to tough -- 1012 years of difficult times like we did after 1929.

And it's not acceptable to the American people.

Well let me tell you know I think this great.

Tough times make great leaders and I believe -- Barack Obama.

Has the stuff to lead our country into a greater place let me tell you the first year the first month of this administration.

The economy is losing 700000 jobs now we're not really losing jobs we're just are really gain in jobs it would just bump -- along have a good.

-- do not take into account all the government money that was spent.

Okay to try to stimulate.

Employment in the economy hasn't worked we lost several 138 points in the stock market this week that's not confidence in the American economy.

Congress.

I'm telling you -- -- -- goes up in the stock market goes down.

We get them that I tell you something else -- you want to make money over time you put your money the American stock market overtime at Europe.

Long term investor you will see positive.

Return.

Because America is a country where you know we believe in free enterprise we also believe.

In a compassionate public sector in overtime we always prevail -- those days in front of -- -- Barack Obama believes there.

We appreciate you coming on thank you very money.
