A New York's East River yesterday about 3 o'clock killing one person it's been move this morning and is now the key piece of evidence as investigators try to figure out what happened yesterday.

On the east side of one of those witnesses -- medical analyst doctor Marc Siegel He was on the scene.

Doctor -- what was it like.

You know it was an unbelievable collection of both the fire department the police department the office of emergency management.

They're trained to do terrorism but they're ready for a situation like this for exactly that reason.

The Hercules -- the counterterrorism unit was actually investigating a suspicious package nearby.

And they heard about this they came over dove into the water swam out to the helicopter.

The elderly gentleman were clinging to the sides of the helicopter they brought them back.

Two people were submerged now from a medical point of view.

These two people that are actually are doing quite well as of this moment in critical condition but they their -- and that being shall fluid.

And something that hasn't been reported Bryant is that they actually suffer from hypothermia because.

The -- is about 55 to sixty degrees there -- 98 point six they're submerged for about twenty minutes to half hour.

You know one of them actually -- -- temperatures in the low ninety's we've got to get the temperatures slowly up they got to get the water out of the water on the democratic.

The father the elderly gentlemen -- I guess was frantic trying get back into the chopper to save his daughter exert horrible horrible scene but.
