High -- newsletter now we are tracking a developing story on the campaign trail.

A big backlash is growing in Iowa today following her McCain's recent comments on abortion.

A conservative radio host calling out mr.

-- in the pro choice remarks He made last night.

On abortion I'm mister kaine defended his plan on America -- short time ago here's recent book.

I do not believe abortion should be legal in this country if that's the question.

So then you're saying is that they're saying that if those circumstances come up in the family does make that decision that they decide and that is the best thing for this young person or she decides on Iraq.

-- if that -- their case a you know that's what they decided that it would be an illegal abortion that they would need to seek.

It would be an illegal abortion that if the -- but look abortion should not be legal.

That is clear but -- -- -- made -- decision to break them all that's that that was decision that's all of trying to say.

I joined now -- -- GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum.

It had a lot of back and forth with him on this senator Santorum what do you think about what He said here today moments ago.

Look at the question is I've -- I'm glad that government thinks that all abortion should be illegal that you you have to have yet to be foray.

A constitutional amendment -- he's had to overturn it yeah I'm sorry that should be illegal -- have to be for constitutional amendment.

That that makes it illegal because right now the courts have said it's a constitutional -- -- change that and then.

-- -- implementing legislation to make sure that that there are penalties for doctors to perform abortions and so the idea that -- it's a -- decision that's fine.

-- -- -- sure that He goes far enough at least from my perspective as to whether He really wants to enforce the fact that that they should be legal and again I mean I -- Herman is set of the past he's not a social warrior and he's he's not that's not that's not his thing and I understand that.

But we need to have clear we -- better understand the positions of -- folks running for office is an important issue.

Not just for the people of Iowa Franklin -- for the people of this country to know where presidential candidate stands on a very important moral issue of the day I'd argue the most important moral issue of the day -- I've been very very clear about that I've just been clear about it I've been a warrior I've been out there fighting these issues for.

More than dozen years and successfully doing -- and will continue to do -- sell.

And I won't be ambiguous about it I'll be very clear and that an out and explain exactly why feel the way I do.

So how do you think this plays out for him politically in Iowa I you know there was and -- talk show -- there -- very influential.

Who came out this morning and said my read on as is that Herman -- is pro choice.

It you -- you cannot say that the Stanley will have the choice to decide.

And be considered pro life in his mind in his talk show host my in Iowa and it's sell if it does cause a problem for him there.

What does that make an opening for is it for you is it for Rick Perry has a dynamic change in Iowa as a result.

Well look I I think people are gonna look -- Iowa -- -- you know we just announced almost 200 count caucus captains today amp a folks who have signed up.

In about sixty counties and in Iowa to help organize caucuses forests and state.

We're working very hard among the activists -- people who are paying attention who.

Who know my track record -- know that -- -- permanent and his -- lack of really you know strong convictions on these issues and and and my feeling is that you know that that's going to be the difference not necessarily what He says or or tries to explain his his language in the language was.

Frankly the language that the you know the John Kerry use in the last election about you know being personally opposed but.

Allowing people to make decisions that's and I think raised a lot of red flags to people I'd always trying to walk it back -- And trying to explain it that it again it.

There's there's there's a matter of -- someone has a strong track record that you know you can trust that He has He understands his position why why I believe what I believe -- and at every track record that shows that I'll follow through with what I believe and I think that's the differentiator with me.

And it will clearly you know He he's in the top spot right now in the real clear politics average she's in the top spot by just by a hair.

Over met Ronnie -- points the scrutiny is going to be very intense on him on these issues and on other issues you have held his -- to the fire with this 999 issue.

And it is getting a lot more attention now now he's making some changes to it he's seeing that there would be opportunity zones -- different rules would apply.

So that lower income folks would be able to get some breaks.

And that they would be basically 909.

Now you're coming out sending called 000 -- you know ever ever and Dick Sergio will tangled up in all these numbers what's what the heck is 000 racked.

Angela it's a little you're from it's -- it's a little you for this to jab that Ed Ed -- but that that the concept is let's focus on the area the economy that's hurting the most.

The one that people are most upset about it legitimately sell.

And that's loser in all of our jobs to China and Mexico on and countries around the world we need to keep those jobs here we need to create more jobs here in the manufacturing sector of our economy and you know we've lost over half our manufacturing jobs as a percentage of of workers in the economy.

And that's one of the reasons your seeing income disparities one of the reason you're seeing.

The middle of America hollowing out and not as many jobs and that in that sector it.

It's so I've focused a plan on 0% corporate tax for anybody that manufactures here in America right now it's 35%.

We zero out -- -- -- anybody that comes back into this country repatriated from all off c.'s operations overseas operations.

And they bring that money back about one point two trillion dollars -- sitting offshore right now.

After that subject to an excise tax the buck back we zeroed out if you invested in plant and equipment in America to create American jobs just -- -- -- you were out every regulation the administration has that burdens manufactures to the tune of a hundred million dollars or more.

-- reduce the regulatory burden tax burden creek capital availability you'll get this economy -- in -- -- -- that's a big rat from 35% corporate taxes zero.

And you're -- hear more about that yet to -- -- one other stories in the news today with regard to the election that's Michelle Bachmann.

And the reports that her six paid staffers in New Hampshire have all quit those are the reports to that your reaction to that.

Well we're we we're gonna be announcing very very soon a a big laundry list of folks who have signed on to be our our our captains up -- the primary and you're hired an -- just all have you had any of Michelle -- well that.

We just -- somebody yesterday that note the New Hampshire but not it was not wanna for people was out with somebody else that.

-- we're we're building our staff -- New Hampshire we're not going down we're building we just hired more people in Iowa we're building and our staff and I we actually hired a former Herman Herman and staffer.

It and I was so nowhere and was very much built in our grassroots team and we're doing quite well back.

-- -- -- one -- -- with you before I let you go and that is the discussion today the announcement today essentially about the end of our troop presence in Iraq.

What is the sort of you know what what's the headline as we walk away from -- Iraq chapter in America's history well.

The big concern the big concern that I have going forward is concerned that I had for quite some time even with the prior administration is the role of Iran in Iraq.

And you know we also we -- now understand because of their most recent attempted attack on America.

Of Iran and they're trying to to reach out.

And -- and spread its power there is no place that is that is seeing more influence of Iraq.

Other than Syria than Iraq and that Iraq right now Iran has too big -- a role.

It's one of the reasons we couldn't get an agreement on on the safety and security of our troops with respect to.

To to legal actions and and -- we leave.

My concern is we're leaving a potential state that could turn into a puppet state for -- that's a big problem that we have to be concerned.

I senator Rick Santorum there was reporter in that round with a president who shouted that question to him about Iran as He was leaving the -- so we're gonna.

I know that care more about that as senators in time thank you so much always good to talk to you thank you.
