Washington now where there is no response from the White House as calls for attorney general Eric -- resignation.
Intensify more than thirty lawmakers.
Have now demanded.
That the attorney general stepped down amid this controversy surrounding the gun running operation on his fast and furious.
More than a thousand US weapons that -- in the hands of Mexico's drug cartels some of them were later found -- a border agents murder scene and that.
Is the whole story really in a nutshell -- all of this prompted.
Republican congressman Paul Brown says that mr.
holder is not above the law he believes he joins me now congressman -- on.
Good morning to you right.
On good morning to you about in fact this kitten blatantly evident that Eric Holder has broken the law he's lied to congress should resign.
He should be.
Prosecuted for lying to congress.
And he should be disbarred the president on a caller called in his office and fire him today that's -- -- as well as many other members of congress are calling for his resignation.
-- that those are very strong words congressmen.
And we have heard them from a number of congressmen.
But I guess the first question is you know -- avenue -- this matter I mean did does it matter at thirty congressman are saying yes.
-- it's getting to be a pig cop cacophony of voices.
In the US house Colin fair holders resignation.
Nobody is above the law not even the chief law enforcement officer in this.
United States he's broken the law about lying to congress he should resign and the thing is we go ahead.
-- specific -- what you're talking about in terms of lying to congress because that's and it's a very serious charge and of course Eric Holder.
I would say the best not the case at all in terms of what he's setting congress he he said that you know in when he responded to that question about when he -- He was talking about whether he understood that there was a controversy a scandal brewing around this issue.
Innocent how has there been an attempt to sort of ironed that out and what does Eric holder's response back.
Well he's going.
Do whatever you can't try to wiggle out of this but thing is even senator Grassley recently said that he gave a letter personally to Eric Holder.
About the controversy about how bad this was.
He got weekly briefings from his staff about festive periods he -- he had emails then all those.
Evidences are coming -- that he did nobody he told the members of congress in testimony.
That he just became aware of it two weeks before.
That's not a -- lot of congress is trying to mislead congress it is breaking the law he should resign he should go and he should go right away and in fact I think it doesn't do this president or his administration and -- Continue to defend -- called -- Eric Holder is its chief law enforcement officer of this nation nobody's above the law not even Eric Holder he must go.
It's interesting we haven't really heard anything over the course of the last month from the White House in response to this it's gone from about.
Eight members of congress who were calling for his resignation.
That number keeps going up it's now thirty members of congress are you surprised at the White House hasn't responded to stand up and say we stand by -- called.
Well they should do that they -- firing him and I call upon the president today call in they're called and say you're fired he needs to be gone.
We need to put confidence in this Justice Department.
And American people -- losing confidence because we've got the chief of law enforcement officer of the nation that is allowed to congress has become blatantly evident that he did.
And he's just trying to cover his his own backside.
He needs to go he needs to not only resign that he needs to be prosecuted for lying to congress and and I hope a special counsel be appointed to it to bring about.
Prosecution that he -- should be disbarred as a -- -- he's broken the ball and kid that it this far.
Congressman brown represents.
The thoughts in a large part of thirty members of the House of Representatives and he joined us now for that.
-- in the White House has a very different take on the situation and those charges.
Tiresome brown thank you very much for being with us today nice about -- -- guys who --
