Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Maria Molina from the fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the southern plains.
As well as a southwest and today -- be another beautiful day across the region we're looking at a lot of sunshine each.
Generally dry weather at least for the start of the across the southern plains.
And temperatures very warm 85 will be your high in Brownsville 79 San Antonio and a high of 77 degrees.
And Dallas Texas -- -- -- see some changes though because there is a cold front pressing through the region so you're gonna start to see some cooler temperatures moving in.
Amarillo are racing some of that some day.
With the high expected to reach 61 degrees.
As we head further off to the west across the Rockies it is going to be a chilly start -- your work week forty will be your high in Denver 43 in Grand Junction.
And only 39 degrees an alcove -- towards the coast not to -- Los Angeles looking at a high temperature at 63 degrees for today.
As far as any precipitation goes we do have a couple of isolated showers and even some snow across some of the higher elevations of Arizona and that's -- associate with an area of low pressure that's gonna -- eastbound.
So expect to see some snow across the Rockies were today and -- will be ramping up some moisture that we have currently across the plains states already some rain falling across portions of Missouri.
In Oklahoma and that very same systems and Begin to fire up some stronger storms that we do have a risk for some severe weather later this evening.
Across portions of Texas up into Oklahoma on extreme southern portions.
A Kansas main concerns there will be.
Large hail damaging wind -- and also some isolated tornadoes possible and several inches of rain will -- on this region.
Well the next two days so watch out for some localized flooding possible especially across.
Portions of Oklahoma and also Missouri so this is some welcome news though even though we're gonna see severe weather.
It is welcome news because we're still dealing with an ongoing drought across parts of Texas and also Oklahoma so.
