We learned this afternoon the President Obama will not make a decision right away on a controversial way to increase America's supply of oil.

Senior White House foreign affairs correspondent Wendell Goler has the specifics.

And after weeks of pressure from environmentalists over a proposed oil pipeline from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.

The Obama administration has decided to delay the project.

Late today in a written statement the State Department announced that quote needs to undertake an in depth assessment of potential alternative routes in Nebraska.
