Welcome back and now we're talking about the -- with Joshua Leonard hill as I said the -- directed and starred co wrote this production and got a lot of attention at Sundance Film Festival so welcome thanks for getting settled and yeah yeah Alexander did I.

It is sleeve button and when not buttons saying -- just gonna -- about -- like that's not happening.

Little fashion trend you're starting.

-- all let's talk about the lying now this -- -- -- it can't be that easy for you to introduce people to the film because there's a lot more going -- and underneath the general plot.

-- so sure.

Option.

What do it well I think first and foremost.

I -- trying.

-- not take too much culpability for how morally reprehensible some of some believe characters are just because it is based on the TC Boyle story.

And he's he's such a vastly talented author and and so I think.

You know the implication of that of adapting his source material.

Kind of lets the audience knows that that that there's going to be more going on underneath and that it's really character based journey.

But put the movie at its -- it's it's a love story about.

You know a couple in their thirties were kind of at that point in their life where there.

Facing the dilemma of trying to retain.

-- trying to retain the ideals of their youth and also facing the responsibilities.

Of new parent -- and mortgages and you know the things that.

So many people of our peer group are -- are grappling with and law means the protagonists in the movie.

-- needs a couple days off work just to kind of reassess and try to get himself back and and the way he goes about it.

He is is he's he's very inappropriate.

Yesterday chili's is the -- -- -- -- let folks see it for themselves and give a quick clip from the trailers and check it out and I want you to write and -- had any questions for Joshua if you didn't want -- that.

So take a look at trailer.

A.

Play Roger it's a lot of I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it.

Yeah that is why I don't think she's to stop yelling yeah.

-- until I'm.

Right -- my daughter died last night.

-- -- -- -- -- Dark comedy -- well.

-- -- News you guys really just goes straight for the and.

Yeah we leave so much time you're not -- -- and -- the trailer.

So let's just I mean you really hate as a passion project for yourself you took on a lot of brawls to do it sell the message to the heart of this though we're talking about and what it comes down -- of course the way you tell the story.

Is normally what would you like today what was the message to re -- it what you hope people take away from them.

Well I I think when I was.

To convey with this and and and one of the luxuries that I think we do get you making independent films.

Whereas it would be aware as we sacrifice -- on maybe the financial side or.

You know the public persona side one of the things you get easy gets tell a story about.

About real people with real problems I I find so often when I go to see a bigger Hollywood film -- He get protagonists.

Who.

Who have flaws and issues that are that are the same type of issues that you bring into a job interview with you like their biggest problems are that.

They work too hard -- they care too much and and for myself and for the people that took.

You know thinking that they love most deeply in the world you know we screw up and it's ugly -- we heard each other and and and we try to make better and we try to redeem ourselves and you know.

The -- of that hopefully there's something more significant in our relationships.

In the day -- -- mistakes that we make because of our own personal fears.

And then and so I think it's really a story about that those kinds of characters.

Just trying to be better.

Let's talk about your co stars in this.

Sure please delete and that's there -- in the indie film more all -- coming they've got on board here.

I want I was fortunate enough to have such a wonderful cast just -- clear who a lot of people know from teeth Mark Webber from Scott Pilgrim vs the world.

Jane Adams who -- done hung with Kelli garner who's on.

Pan am right now always it was a wonderful actress -- -- cap from.

Arrested Development of Hollywood long plays the waitress -- is.

Some people may know her from from her early days and the Andy -- films also Lou reed's walk on the wild side was written about her so it's it's a fun.

Vastly talented.

-- cast telling -- telling a story with a lot of heart.
