It's legitimate news -- could you imagine bill can you imagine the media ignored the story and he somehow won the nomination.

And then this all came out because the Obama team brought it out right before the election.

Conservatives would be yelling that the media kept it under wraps and hurt their guy so I don't I think that the media.

Look there I'm sure there are exceptions but by and large the media played fair with Herman Cain was a legitimate story.

The IDC a little bit differently I think the media gave him a much harder time than they did John Edwards wasn't The National Enquirer John -- question you know -- -- that -- -- Doesn't -- -- that the conservatives are right right everybody knew that John Edwards was doing stuff that wasn't right legitimate.

Nobody in the mainstream media pursued the story The National Enquirer had to do and they had to pay for but they got.

Herman Cain is what we -- The problem with the Herman -- -- and I think that at first wanted to I I think I treated -- factor treated Herman -- very fairly would you agree with that.

Yes OK but I went out of my way pitch to treat mr.

-- with respect and to to to look at this story in a way.

That was an -- -- which is very important for the audience to understand.

Because it's something very true and American you've seen now what Penn State -- -- There's the woodwork factor.

Okay that one she would have an established charge from anybody could be a martian from Venus.

And then -- lawyers think they can make money from lawyers.

They're gonna find you know people are gonna go yeah you know why I ran into -- twenty years ago and and -- -- next.

Okay -- that that's that's an industry in this country now it's an it's an industry a money making industry.

And it's impossible for me or any journalist to know it's true we don't know what happened with Herman -- so we don't know.

That's absolutely true we don't know what happened with Herman Cain.

And we don't know that Bill Clinton.

Exposed himself when he was governor of Arkansas in front of Paula Jones.

We don't know that he raped a respected business woman named Juanita Broderick when he was attorney general of Arkansas.

And we don't know for sure that he played.

I think there wasn't there's no question that conservatives are right when they say there's a double standard that John Edwards thing as you mention and even with Bill Clinton.

There were some.

Very serious sexual allegations against him far more serious than anything that's been leveled at Herman Cain and the media.

Ignored or downplayed those stories for as long as they could before they couldn't ignore them anymore now as far as Herman Cain is concerned.

I don't know personally what I see on television I like him.

But I don't believe him.

Okay this of and that's your personal right is an American to make that decision I have not made that decision -- I just can't and I don't know.

Now that we can expect the dirt to fly it Gingrich Christiane Amanpour began it yesterday roll the -- In terms of social issues he.

You know has been married three times his two -- is he's admitted to infidelity.

Should -- hold that against him is that relevant.

I think character's definitely an issue.

Down a beef with that as I said my radio commentary today is that this is an old old old story.

Which is being recycled now on I don't really understand why it's being recycled what -- you.

Well it's being or recycled because he's a conservative Republican for one thing.

You know I mean a vote if a liberal Democrat were married three times in the media.

Fell in love with it wouldn't be that big an issue.

But he's he's the leading candidate now so he's going to be in the cross hairs and not just by liberal journalist I mean talk radio listen thrilled with Newt Gingrich.

Conservative politicians.

Aren't thrilled with Newt Gingrich he's going to be out there -- let me give via a comparison with how the media treats him and how they treat Obama.

With an apples to -- -- comparison.

There have been some very hard hitting opinion pieces.

Two of them in the New York Times -- -- in the past few days.

About a doctorate thesis that the Newt Gingrich wrote many many years ago about colonial Africa.

The liberal commentators did like it and they really blasted them fine no problem.

To this stay bill we don't know anything about Barack Obama's college records we don't know what kind a senior thesis Paper he wrote was an anti American was an.

I don't get that same problem.

Hillary -- -- no idea but and the media shows and I'm not one of curiosity I just find out about that while we know the gotcha game is well underway with the speaker.
