Good evening I'm -- -- there's no letting up for the two Republican front runners back on the campaign trail after last night's debate.

Today we saw more attack dad's a big endorsement.

And the candidates making their case to Iowa voters.

Chief political correspondent Carl Cameron shows us as the clock keep ticks down to January 3 some candidates are turning up the heat.

After a strong debate performance in which he took no shots it is GOP rivals Mitt Romney chalked up the coveted endorsement of Nikki Haley the Tea Party darling -- first ever female governor of the first southern primary state of South Carolina.

A lot of -- stood in line at her door -- a winner endorsement.

I could not be more proud than to have on the stage with me ready to make that endorsement -- governor my friend.

Nikki -- and this is a governor that made hard decisions cut taxes in his state nineteen.

Times balance his budget.

Within 85%.

Democratic legislature.

-- that's what we need to have.

-- will continue it.

After last night's debate harsh attack flyers from third party outside groups were left on car windshields in Sioux City blasting Gingrich.

As insufficiently opposed to abortion.

And there was an -- related and damaging tag line at the end reading quote then there is his abuse of his two ex wives referring to his admitted infidelity in the past.

On Hannity Gingrich admitted Romney continent into a gaffe earlier this week over how they each got rich.

-- display of humility but also another example of having put his foot in his mouth.

Those you very brief moment there is frankly he got under my skin he got that -- you're scoring rounds of boxing.

I give that round of -- A strong third -- most polls with a big organization Ron Paul could excel caucus night and perhaps even win if the turnout is low.

But even he knows winning the nomination is unlikely he insists he's not planning for it but he will not rule out an independent run.

Farther back in the polls Rick Perry Michelle Bachmann and Rick Santorum are all aggressively courting Christian conservatives.

Perry's bus tour -- 45 major cities but when his bus tour has all Monday -- counties no easy feat.

For all three it's pedal to the metal against the front runners.

It was clear to me that both Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney.

Didn't have a dime's worth the difference between them they've both -- the more the moderate wing of the party.

For now it seems Perry Bachmann and Rick Santorum are splitting the Christian Christian conservative vote in Iowa.

Which makes up about half of the GOP caucus vote the other half of voters -- the caucus seemed to be divided between Mitt Romney Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul.

Eighteen days left in the other number to remember is that about half of the likely caucus goers are likely to change their minds Brad.
