In his life and he's written an inspirational book to show others how to succeed the book is called the big gig.

How does it go from drumming to inspire people.
That's easy it was in my DNA from the beginning you know I -- I believe you know god gives different people gifts and my gift was the gift of inspiration in the gift to motivate people and really the gift of communication.
And all of all of those different things endured this manifestations of the same gift drumming is a form of communication.
Writing speaking they're all just different manifestations of one -- so I've just been faithful to develop though the one gift that I -- Felt I mentioned Lenny Kravitz Bobby Brown but also Quincy Jones these are huge names in this business mean how did you go from being.
This son of a single mother of 72.
On the world stage.
A lot of a lot of things while mother with great love -- mother with a great heart who instilled in me the ability to dream.
She inspired me she taught me that I could do any thing so and then just love and basically faith I mean the way to succeed at anything at the end of the day.
As you've got to you've got to have a system of belief and I just believe that all these things -- possible.
And I believe that if I worked hard and was diligent.
And and -- trusting god for favor for doors open because of certain things you can't make happen in your life.
Can make people hire you can make people like you you just do your the best job to prepare yourself for the opportunities when they arise.
So telling about the book the big -- any kind of this book come about sort of the evolution was.
It's been a vision you know I wanted to write a book since I was little boy in fact -- wanted to write a book about camping but I'd never been camping.
I started writing the book anyway but it -- all the things about camping but I've always wanted to write.
And I've always wanted to write something that would inspire people to live out that secret dream in their heart because I believe you know.
That we all have the stream of people don't know how to attain and they don't know what's involved in doing it.
-- division has started about fifteen years ago and I just began to write down all of my ideas and as I was walking through this whole journey of life I would share.
All these different strategies and things every chapter in the books called the art of something starting with our division.
-- of attitude the art of learning the art of practicing right down to the end the art of giving in the art of commitments so.
These are all sort of in -- multi facet aspects of life because it's personal spiritual vocational.
So as -- journey through life I just journeyed everything journal everything that I wanted to write and it was a process but it was it was something that was really exciting to see come to life because.
It because multiply your your philosophy is -- can multiply your thinking so that other people can can grasp what's in your head.
How do you transfer of the -- of drumming.
Sort of the -- to you.
Sort of an inspirational look at what were the similarities line.
Well every every every gifting has -- skill set to it what you do I watched you earlier your excellent -- -- what you do so.
Every every gifting is the same in the sense that it's it's a talent the skill than we didn't -- we are born with that.
And then there but there's there's structure and there's foundation and there's work and so success principles are the same whether you're a tennis player whether you're news.
Anchor whether -- drummer there all the same ways that you get there this is just my journey of how I did it as a musician but all the principles are applicable to.
Every everybody in life because it's really that it's really the same journey of of hard work.
