-- for joining us thank you it's not like you're welcome to South Carolina.
Thank you -- -- well you made the news that you are endorsing -- have endorsed the governor Romney out I'm curious last may.
You at least -- to quote troubled by is health care.
At the end of the day at that point satisfactory told you his view on the national -- messages out here what changed.
I think what he's -- It was what I think we're seeing a lot of Americans go through which is the thought process and how we gonna get today he's gonna be the perfect person.
Did take on this country during this time and so a lot of what I thought about was.
What are the issues that are important to me as governor of the state what are the issues that I hear all of the families across the country talk about.
And it always comes back to spending the economy and job.
And it.
What I know now is there's a lot of chaos and what's Washington DC and we need no more of that and so the first thing I thought of what we can't have any packets related to Washington.
The second thing -- this isn't about what you say we need someone that's actually done and when you look at governor Romney's record.
He's taken broken companies and turn them around he's taken a week in Olympic system.
And -- -- successful source of pride this country and not only that he knows how to make real decisions not just.
Making those I've been a legislator I can say that it's very different to make a decision -- -- that he's made decisions and the decisions he made.
With you cut taxes nineteen times in his state and had an 85%.
Majority Democrat.
Legislation that's remarkable.
That's what we're talking -- only talking about Washington somebody that can go in -- for us.
And so we've got a lot of problems it's time to get -- -- this thing hits in the solutions.
And the other side is my plan our military -- military is very important to us and a lot of troops across the country.
And he understands that we have to strengthen our military and he understands who want to be apologetic.
And so -- -- got a president that's done nothing -- time we think this has been an important factors well -- -- the -- videos can be President Obama.
Don't for me I don't think have to put down any other candidates to make this -- -- good.
What I will tell you is the hardest part about myself that I did not know as governor the federal government.
Whether it's been dealing with the Medicaid issues whether it's dealing with illegal immigration whether -- been the only voter -- Whether it's the NLRB of what we're trying to do with Boeing and that the unions have gotten in the way.
I mean apart -- -- a partner in Washington and when I've known as passengers governors I don't have a partner right now I've got when I try to protect.
Jobs from -- I had a president who was working against time to get them out so what I'm looking for is someone that understands how business.
Someone who understands strengthening private sector as a way to go.
And so I don't think it's about what the other candidate can actually it did I just want to focus on the one that I know -- -- doing his career.
Don't I don't make it sound like a prom date had decided live documents are curious of behind the scenes and many -- dead governor Palin's endorsement here in South Carolina -- the other hand it's.
Did she thought you went value remain how to how to do -- when the sun.
Well we've we've known each other for some time.
And and I've been in touch with with her -- her office had talked about my views and issues we've exchanged views on issues time and again.
And I'm I'm delighted that she's taken -- good look at the debates and my responses of the questions that she had that she came back to decide to support my have my teammates and obviously it's a huge statement.
It makes an enormous difference here in South Carolina speaker Gingrich has a real strong lead here.
And -- for her to stand up and say you know what I'm gonna -- gonna back somebody who is not real high in the polls right now South Carolina because I believe you know Mitt Romney can win all the way.
There was a time when she was a real high in the polls I'm hoping that that her experience coming from behind and winning is the same kind of experts -- -- happier and I don't know.
Thank you and you endorse your there -- various -- Governor -- last time around governor Romney came in fourth here in this state say at least at least then it was a hard sell.
But it I I can -- bump on the payment and how you to convince some people.
Four years ago one particular incident that Indian governor Romney this is really interesting -- first easier classes yes.
Michael and I -- gonna do everything we can't support the Romney can help get the message out that this is what's interesting for me.
We -- talked a couple of times what we had a me.
A few weeks back and I think I'm gonna ask you some really tough place and I -- -- I think I'm not for the health care man.
South Carolina can afford.
What do you minute -- today want.
I'm now offer South Carolina -- in any other state that wants it and I'm gonna work to repeal the health care -- across this country.
The second thing affected you know the issues we've dealt with with the unions what are you gonna do.
And he -- we're gonna make sure that we put as much pressure on the news is we can't and we turn it back to the private sectors of their back in -- -- transparency to do it.
I brought up the Yucca Mountain nation which so many of the states and have had to deal with an -- how are you gonna.
Feel would handle that needs to do what we're gonna make sure that promises made promises cats and whether we -- -- without -- another state or give -- -- their money back.
We're gonna solve problems and the reason I bring this up as.
In 2008 I endorsed.
I -- candidate very much wanted to win.
In 2011.
What I see is not a candidate that cares about winning this is a leader who's ready to actually be president what do you know what changed I you know what I see is IC -- con -- I feel leadership ability this is not about talking not how to win votes he's very much about what -- -- for the first thirty days in the White House when it's connected to get people back to work.
There's -- leadership there that when I walked out of there knew this -- I knew this is right because what I want someone to understand the American.
The American family keep.
We need help we need -- now we need courage and we need it now we need someone after time figured out they want.
This man who spent the last four years time to figure out exactly what he's been doing now and there's not going to be a -- -- that's when I need this.
