Good evening I'm Mike Huckabee from the Fox News studios in New York.

What a year it's -- and nobody is covered 2011.

Better than Fox News.

Tonight our anchors and correspondents who brought -- the news all year long.

Tell us how they covered the biggest stories of 2011.

It's time to say happy new year and I've always thought the whole idea of making a big deal of the turn of -- -- there was rather artificial.

But like other milestones that we use -- navigation points for life.

At least this one is rational.

We're gonna spend the next few weeks righting the wrong a year on letters and checks until we get used to the idea that being 2012.

Because this year's going to be a presidential election year it's going to be rather intense especially around Fox News and the Huckabee show.

This might be a good time to reflect on what's been a pretty remarkable year and why we are optimistic about the next -- Week after week our show attracts the most viewers of all the cable news channels where we can show and we are genuinely grateful to you our faithful family.

Who's good taste in television -- his stellar.

-- we hope it's because we have interest in gas that cover the full spectrum of politics and culture entertainment and even more.

Of course you're gonna see presidential candidates and others congressman critics and fans.

You'll see celebrities from -- -- Bradley Cooper.

I mean erupt once -- -- immediately that base I do do you play I played when I was up fifteen years old base yet that's the base right.

Well I had it's not very classical race but does this stand up -- -- -- -- -- -- much cooler are much cannot play rock and roll -- -- -- like -- serious.

What is -- what -- -- to Arizona.

Here's what's weird Bradley Cooper this really cool guy is in a classical music and plays a stand up bass and I play Jimi Hendrix and how the -- And hopefully you'll see its -- of and that may -- haven't ever seen before.

You're gonna meet people who aren't famous but whose life stories inspired touch sometimes teach.

And my goal is to always do it with dedicated civility.

Because I was raised by an old fashioned southern mother who taught me that you treat others what you want to be treated.

Now that makes a lot of things easier for me whether it's how to talk to a guest on the show or how to do business with people you know.

We know that on the weekend you probably aren't watching television because you're trying to elevate your blood pressure.

But because you're trying to dial it down a notch from the stress of the week.

Well we're gonna try to bring -- -- hot topics but not awaited burns but just nicely warms.

And as long as I'm on the show you can -- we're always gonna try to bring music from artists that you've known -- -- fans.

As well as those you will love that you see him on our show.
