The claws are coming out in New Hampshire is Jon Huntsman has launched new attacks in the front runner Mitt Romney fortieth before the primary there's -- little bit more that lesson.
-- establishment is sticking up.
Mr.
Romney is the choice.
For the Republican.
Party.
And I say the people of New Hampshire will not be told for whom to vote.
The people of New Hampshire don't want -- coronation.
You know what I mean.
They want people there earned the vote as opposed to sitting tonight down in South Carolina so certain of a victory.
-- they haven't we are very pleased in America's mission to be joined by former New Hampshire governor John -- And former White House chief of staff as well he is -- Romney supporter.
Governor welcome good to have you here this morning.
It's good to be here but before we get started I I was listening caught something on my ear piece where mr.
Gingrich was claiming.
That governor Romney funded abortions through his legislation.
He's wrong it's dishonest for him to say that.
That decision was a 1981.
Massachusetts Supreme Court decision and a 1997.
Massachusetts Supreme Court decision well before.
Mitt Romney became governor but but mr.
Gingrich has a little difficulty with the truth.
Interesting I well I would imagine that that discussion that back and forth we may hear that in the debate this weekend -- thank.
I don't think mr.
Gingrich has the guts to say it to mr.
-- to governor Romney's face down.
All right so talk to me a little bit about you know you just heard Jon Huntsman saying that there -- people of New Hampshire.
Don't believe in coronation and that Mitt Romney should not be in South Carolina right now campaigning he should be still in New Hampshire.
They have put Jon Huntsman got stuck with another democratic endorsement.
Out of the Boston Globe that's that -- democratic organ in the northeast Jon Huntsman still can't decide which primary ought to be -- But what what we have here is is really a very important race that New Hampshire we'll decide on.
And governor Romney is working hard here he he -- was here yesterday morning he'll be back this afternoon.
And we'll be here through the primary.
The fact is is that New Hampshire.
Notoriously makes up their minds late and the governor understands that and with the schedule of events he has will continue to put him in front of the voters.
So the voters of New Hampshire who have gotten -- -- quite well.
Over the past year we'll we'll continue to reaffirm their support of them.
All right you know I -- clearly this debate -- it looks like it could get very heated over the weekend because as you say.
Folks in New Hampshire often change their minds at the last minute Newt Gingrich and others are counting on just that.
Here's another piece of what Newt Gingrich had to say that may be a preview of what we might hear this weekend listen to that -- -- thanks.
In the end governor Romney will not be able to hide behind negative ads people actually look at his record they'll realize that he raised taxes as governor.
-- realize that he appointed liberal judges who -- pro abortion.
They'll realize he wrote Planned Parenthood into Romney care he wrote tax paid abortions and -- Romney care.
All these things all add up -- people go oh yes.
That's not somebody I want to be Republican nominee your reaction -- I think people are gonna listen to what mr.
Gingrich is and said it has said and say oh there's not a bit of truth in that oh yes.
I am not going to pay any attention to mr.
Gingrich.
I talked about the abortions being the result of the Massachusetts Supreme Court decisions.
Well before the governor came in the governor cut taxes in Massachusetts.
Nineteen times.
He cut spending when there was a three billion dollar deficit and created a surplus that's a very conservative thing to do.
And the judges in Massachusetts are in fact appointed.
By the executive council and Massachusetts all -- governor can do is present a broad list they can do whatever they want so mr.
Gingrich continues.
To be dishonest in his presentations.
He's upset of course that at some of the negative advertising.
That the independent groups have thrown -- but the reason -- had such tremendous effect.
Is all the things they talked about in there.
Negative advertising.
Are based on truth and truth is what bites into anybody's lead.
At the four -- ghosts are wanna get your thoughts -- Rick Santorum as well he's pounding the pavement -- New Hampshire right now coming up a very strong performance in Iowa.
-- you know will he resonate to some extent that may not be reflected in the polls right now with the folks New Hampshire.
Look Rick -- a good man he's a good conservative but the fact is is that.
When he got to congress.
Got to the senate he let the disease of legislative bodies take them over.
He fell in love with pork he fell in love with the earmarks.
That's why it's always better to you led a former governor.
Be the president of the United States' governors have a tendency to want to cut.
Those that come out of the senate the legislative process love to expand government.
Well you know this over.
That's an interesting point any you know Jon Huntsman who we're gonna -- a little while Jon Huntsman was -- -- completely wrong about him in terms of of how you know he should be characterizing that he did.
A lot of cutting the Wall Street Journal is told has called him the most conservative candidate out there.
Yes unfortunately Jon Huntsman has these -- letters in which he expresses his tremendous admiration.
For President Obama.
Who Jon Huntsman -- yeah I just record in use hurts our it.
But it but it -- where he's coming from and the last thing in the world you want is an Obama lover running against President Obama in this election.
All right we thank you for your handedness good to have -- here mr.
-- great to see you and that we'll we'll see how this all plays out your great state of New Hampshire.
Thank you so much -- --
