Hi everyone I'm meteorologist Mario Molina and -- fox extreme weather center with your forecast for the southern plains and also the southwest.

And today we have kind of than usual weather across southwestern parts of -- says it is cold out there and it is -- guys 33 for -- high temperature.

In Midland Texas that is colder than some -- temperatures are seen as far north as North Dakota and -- Montana today so really looking at that winter weather.

At a store across western parts of Texas a front after the east not too bad 54 -- Dallas 58 and -- -- and 66.

Over in Jackson Mississippi hasn't had a westward across parts of the southwest.

Enjoying those mild temperatures as well across southern parts of California 76 -- your -- in Los Angeles.

And across the Rockies nothing really unusual high temperatures in the forties and 50s54.

-- high temperature over in Denver Colorado now where we had the activity today is basically over taxes.

We're getting some much needed moisture out there and that's all things to a low pressure system that's developing across the state.

And also intensifying so we've already seen some -- -- and rain across central and eastern parts.

-- the -- of Texas that's also heading into Louisiana and unfortunately some of those thunderstorms could also produce some severe weather so that's something else.

Now we're keeping in mind as well there have been a number of tornado -- -- have -- data across Texas and also Louisiana today and that could be this story throughout the rest.

A today's some didn't keep an eye on otherwise has some of that cold air mixes in with that rain on the backside of this this summer getting some snow.

Across southwestern parts of Texas Midland Texas you guys can pick up -- locally up to six or eight inches of snow also very significant for you guys that will definitely be producing.

Some travel hazards otherwise most of the four corners staying quiet out there were some sunshine California and Nevada also relatively quiet which today.
