This election is a choice between two very different fascinates.
President Obama wants to fundamentally transform America we want to restore America to the founding principles that made this country great.
I find -- -- sort of fascinating.
When they finally get around and this is different people it could be in the media could be our opponents or whatever.
But I so I have to chuckle when they describe.
You and me as being today.
I'd say third blaze is it tickets arrived ladies and show.
Well Mitt Romney was riding the wave into the winner's circle followed by Ron Paul and John Huntsman -- you saw there in New Hampshire now all the Republican candidates are.
Trying to ride that momentum in the South Carolina the media frenzy that surrounds them.
Continues -- Jim take us back to this week of coverage that included governor Romney's room while it's comment that he probably wishes he could take back.
But address the coverage.
Well I mean this is the gift that keeps -- we've got a whole new campaign in front of us on this -- button private equity among whom you know Bain Capital stuff.
I think the media are salivating now the prospect that.
Gingrich and hunts and and and Huntsman and.
-- and who knows wells.
Are all gonna -- around -- -- this I think they can't wait -- late in the weeks ago Newt Gingrich and seemed to back away from his criticisms perhaps.
Because he had heard from his fellow Republicans that they -- like that line of attack.
Or perhaps John because it wasn't working as he had intended I mean most amazing thing about the coverage this weekend I think was summed up by Peggy Noonan -- and she said.
Romney.
Is not the person you embrace he's the person you circled back typical.
If there's a kind of inevitability.
About this despite the media's effort to kind of drum up a little.
Excitement there there's just to senses Jacob Weisberg said this is the guy and that's not very exciting for the media so we're going to make it more interesting.
Here's to did you see the front page of the Washington Post I think we have a graphic this week it was.
Cover that included the shot in the background of see that see the shot in the corner do not trust the liberal media.
I don't believe the liberal media battle up front pages and what do you make -- -- -- -- Why all the stuff that's going on with the attacks on Romney and and Bain is not really being drummed up -- -- that by that liberal media it's being drummed up by.
Newt Gingrich primarily let's face it.
-- the DNC has been logic lodging their tax but not getting the kind attraction -- new Gingrich has gotten.
And I think -- is sort of a you know -- sort of along for the ride Gingrich.
They thought was backtracking but then you know his his campaign to put out a statement saying no we're not really backtracking so.
As you know I think I think they're they're sticking with us as they go in to South Carolina because some Caroline has a very high unemployment rate and the probably hoping that the system that you.
Re down to there fact.
-- on Wednesday Mitt Romney went on 6 of the network morning shows he was on CNN.
MSNBC.
On fox.
You know and and being asked about his performance on CNN Soledad O'Brien and asked him about.
His sixteen point win in New Hampshire she described it as being not a victory.
-- well it's all about expectations which -- the media set up.
They set up a level that you're supposed to the -- you're supposed to jump over and if you don't.
Jump over the bar then somehow it wasn't as great but here I'm gonna use a word now that is often heard on network television I'm gonna use the C word it's.
Conflict this is what the media like better than anything else it's one of the few equal opportunity things they indulgent.
With the Democrats reading each other up in the last election cycle and to -- well when Clinton was running.
We have Whitewater we have Paula Jones we have all this stuff.
As everybody knows Republicans don't have sex -- they have got to do other stuff now with fed to keep the conflict going which -- ratings no surprise its facilities six.
In point victory.
That was not a victory according to CNN well.
I mean.
That the moral hazard of reporters are so strong that they were Salem Mitt Romney you -- -- you won decisively won bigger than.
Bush 41 did in 1988.
Snooze right you know they're they're great people and -- of you know.
What reruns of you know some other some soap -- so they have to keep at it and pounding away and they're making it into a soap opera but as as cares -- said.
That -- handle that they got this year though the life -- -- from Gingrich and this this 28 minute video in and although who are associated with that that is a gift to the Nielsen ratings.
But it's also -- gift to.
The Democrats to me that's the grill at.
Times do you think we're going to hear vulture capitalism.
From the White House as soon as.
Or if Mitt Romney gets the nomination.
-- Republicans of behaving like those.
Buddhist monks that we saw during the Vietnam War setting themselves on fire in protest I mean there may need the Democratic National Committee commercials and by the way -- But soap operas are going off here you're gonna.
What -- like to live as the last.
CBS's Bob Schieffer was on CBS this morning on Tuesday and and slamming Mitt Romney for the I like to fire people line.
The stating that Romney was looking for every way he can to try to lose.
And drive down his percentage of victory.
Well let it get the actual quote was -- and I I like to be able to fire -- -- talking about insurance companies.
But -- we live in an environment where a YouTube any candidate -- -- know when you say something like that how it's gonna be right.
It's probably an unfortunate choice words but ABC -- -- -- -- the AP.
MSNBC CNN and others all pick that one little line up and and played that line.
But didn't play -- in the context in which he was discussed this -- -- Obama uses the teleprompter all the time even when speaking to kindergarten students.
So he will not mess up or ad -- -- getting yourself in trouble he really does this so you -- the teleprompter but may be Romney oughta try it.
Once again Rick Perry jumped on it to him again I didn't Republican entertaining in the media and the Obama administration has -- which they're happy to -- to tackle an.
And it's the second time because remember it follows the 101000 dollar -- Because the Al -- making 101000 dollars so this is clearly something that Romney's vulnerable on all right.
