-- There it is 23 year old Laura Kepler won the crown from Wisconsin and the coveted title of of Miss America 2012.

Our journey has just begun and she joins me now.

This morning live right here on FOX & Friends good morning to you know I mean thank you for having the most important thing about the Miss America Organization that many people don't know about is that it's only scholarship program out there at the largest scholarship program in the world for women and so I know one of the biggest things -- gonna be talking about this year is education and 50000 dollars that you -- what you gonna do with -- With a scholarship yes I'm actually looking forward to going to law school after this year to really carry out the work of my platform of mentoring -- advocating for children who have parents in prison.

So I hope to use my -- my scholarship things -- and lay a million times over for the fabulous scholarship.

But I hope to use -- to go -- to be illegal place for children who don't happen.

Speaking of your other platform besides education.

What I think is so fascinating about your platform is that many times people say well how can I relate to Miss America.

So wall you're sharing your successes this year.

You're also going to share your personal pain.

About something that's happened in their fans now with your father tell us -- it's.

Also it was a time of uncertainty for my family and it was a time that was very difficult and challenging but -- something happens in America something that happens.

Every single day here so it's real and it's relatable.

And in -- I felt like it needs a national voice and so I've decided to bring.

Mentoring children of incarcerated parents to this national platform so while you were graduating from high school your father was going to prison.

For life.

For white collar crime.

It was very much like the Madoff scandal so you know it happens every single day in a lot of people asking how can you relate to other different the other maybe more violent crimes.

And the underlying issue -- the emotions that I felt are the same exact that other children feel no matter what the crime so it's very relatable and it's very.

Currents to today's society.

Now there were a -- that there are three things are gonna learn about this American that you don't already know -- -- your job.

Was that tell you not a serve a good -- right I do yes ever written a diner out there -- high development college.

A guy and a -- struck me at first she's a mom excuse me wait a minute -- have me.

I have a one and a half year old died this musicians you Maltese named smokey and he's the -- of my life I'm gonna miss him so much this year.

And -- singing chops are always ready we heard your beautiful classical opera performance thing but what's your -- -- -- you wanna do what.

Sing the National Anthem at some point.

Yes you know -- naslund and -- -- brewers game and Packers game and I'm going to disagreeable to help with taste of the NFL and possibly act and sing the National -- there I'm not sure yet without a fantastic no one and other things he did speaking of football I knew -- -- -- -- golf fan.

At the opening of the show.

You did what to which player yes I acknowledged Aaron Rodgers -- is actually made a lot of headlines it is funny to that -- just my humor are showing they're going to you know acknowledged the Packers in the prison -- and you said called me cornerback Aaron Rodgers who have yet to -- has yet to call -- Brian's question over from the -- -- was this.

Did it help Wisconsin.

When the Packers loss the next day to know that they still had Miss America I think a lot of people said despite their lives you know I was still able to represent them so I was proud of that.

I have a fantastic year they volunteer -- smoking education and your other platform and our captain's America 2000 think you.
