Welcome back we -- is a life -- organization finds ways to help prevent premature births among many other things this morning.

We're going to meet the new 2012 ambassador for the March of Dimes and joining me now -- five year old -- which struck and his parents -- we -- And shame I hope I said that right from both the accent the more -- -- Here -- are you figuring out that you're on TV I don't.

Yeah you're the new ambassador give me a high five for that -- all brightly knows how to do that.

Now I know that originally when he was born prematurely you probably never -- on the road this is going to be.

A fantastic thing because at the time it was very very trying it was it was the scariest experience of our life -- -- -- our baby was going to be born in the same day -- not understand.

The long term issues he might have.

Because of the -- maternity so he was born at 31 weeks from looking at the photos here -- weren't so much to -- way at that time three pounds one ounce.

And I understand it one of the complications -- was that because he was so small he would actually fall asleep when he was eating and and it was hard to keep him.

A row it's right to be able to get the right nutrients -- continuing growth.

Right that was one of the concerns that we had another one was that he would stop breathing while -- was sleeping sleep apnea was a big issue luckily.

While he was still side -- -- -- belly before she she delivered.

And they were able to provide -- a -- and therapy.

Which is something the March of Dimes has played -- big role in contributing to the research and that helped his lungs develop adequately enough so that he was actually crying when he was -- which is a big step.

I'm so the sleep apnea could have been a lot worse if he had received that treatment.

As -- ambassador as the ambassador family.

What -- you do because you just getting started but what's the main goal of the -- you're traveling around the country.

Just to promote the mission ended -- -- which is to ensure that all babies are born healthy and given an opportunity.

And then there with their early start.

And then also help you know with -- maturity premature birth and to share.

Knowledge and to share our story inspire others to get involved with the march for babies so he stayed in January in the nick you know you don't remember that -- in the hospital for a month.

-- you were just at Disney World last week we where we where we were able to participate.

With a -- this -- world half marathon which helped raise funds for the March of Dimes as well.

And we were able to experience Orlando and talk to some folks about the March of Dimes and the upcoming march for babies -- -- particular market can't think of a better way to start off -- years the ambassador than Disney World right Karen.

What was your favorite right.

-- -- Thunder railroad now for folks have been to Disney World they know that that's a little bit more of a lower key roller coaster but it's right my speed could -- -- -- that I like.

Another high five for that.

As a March of Dimes ambassador.

And to the parents as well -- know it'll be a lot of work but what a great mission and coming up we wanna remind everyone -- the March of Dimes walk.

We'll be in April all across the country absolutely one of 900 blocks we encourage everybody to participate get out that's -- great and community day and kids in -- -- it since pretty much since he was born itself.
