-- Hello I'm on the health -- I'm Dr.

-- heart disease is the number one killer of women.

That is -- that women think about everyone else in the family first.

Putting their own health on the back burner now joining me today to spread the message about how important -- -- days to women is comedian.

And talk show host joy -- hard.

Thank you what an honor to have you here my god how contract -- to -- -- my -- decide howling down on the red -- But anyway you're absolutely right -- disease is cinema -- killer kills thousands of women not only here in the US but around the world.

And final -- you know -- think that I think they think breast cancer and other diseases but it is number -- -- women but you know what this.

Why do women always sacrifice themselves cannot deliver babies for a living so I live around women for 35 years and have a wife and I have a -- so it's like oh my god does give me a week and hopefully one of you guys.

But what what what they don't sacrifice themselves -- don't pay attention.

I don't go to doctors -- with.

-- -- I don't know about that we don't go to the doctor I think men are notorious for not going to talk yeah -- they have to do is -- often got six at the time now right.

But women go to the gynecologist we get -- pap smears every year we get -- mammograms.

I think that women have pretty vigilant but when it comes to heart disease.

I think that over the years we've thought well it's a man's disease more than a woman's disease so we might be reluctant.

To think about.

That and so I'm here to tell women that it is an issue and that they should get their -- checked that they go to your doctor I guess a regular.

Internists right can deal with -- -- give you those little tests that they give you the KGETC.

I myself an -- Staten.

-- it because I have some heart disease and a lot of.

Heart disease -- this and social did.

Sort of you know you being a woman and you -- leader if and -- and news and and people listen all the time when you have to -- but.

Also -- you doing this because of personal reasons.

-- it is because you know my mother had a heart attack -- first one when she was fifty which is not much younger than I am now.

And and she went on to have heart disease after that she was on a blood -- for many years and -- eventually she did pass away from a stroke.

Etc.

so -- that my uncles I have on my mother's side of the family there's quite a bit of heart disease my -- both died very young actually 58 counts you know.

And he was just driving his car had just died behind the -- -- which is now you don't want something like that to happen.

So there are things that you can do to prevent that the sort of thing and I'm and we have today yes something called straight talk a woman's guide to heart health.

-- she it's available in English and did Spanish and you cannot go online -- I am pro heart.

FaceBook page you can download the guide and pass -- on -- on the web as a boy you need to know is right here in this straight talk show it.

And that -- you know because let me let me let me give you -- my point I think that women yes they don't realize that they get heart disease and same risk factors that applied to men whether or smoking or hike last little lack of exercise of diabetes right our risk factors that affect women to yes but.

Do one thing that might be a little bit different for women as especially the signs and symptoms of heart attack what that you have to consulted -- to -- I'm no expert come out of stuff out of send yourself Joseph I'll tell you I was gonna get down to the nitty -- come on.

So the size of the symptoms of heart disease for women are sometimes a little more atypical.

In -- you know it's not that -- my chest you know it it could be very subtly can be.

You know them as small on pain or especially in the in the -- or the face -- Things like that so you gotta pay attention because a typical signs and symptoms.

On QB.

Probably he nothing or they could be significant and that's why it is important.

To get in form which write what you -- well I'm also talking got hooked up was Bayer aspirin.

That's who I'm here were reluctant guys there take every day you're -- and I believe that they say right now that if you've had a heart attack already -- consult with your doctor about aspirin -- -- -- Have you had a -- Disclosed.

But no I I I I have not been IE you know I mean -- I'm 54.

I am -- in the -- trying to lose weight I'm not quite there yet so.

I and I have risk factors so taking for me personally taken it low dose aspirin nearly one milligrams once today taking my cholesterol that kind of thing.

Is it is a good regimen for me.

But it yet check with your doctor of course.

But I do exercise to -- -- I want to cut this short life.

Well I know you walk from the makeup room to the -- yes is there any more that you don't you know -- try IE you know it's yes I tried -- -- despotic and in the summertime and the little golf -- -- golf -- -- go on a -- to me because that kills the whole.

Idea highlights and blown up the long course.

I mean come on board with me and how how do you stay so healthy because you got -- show -- got to be who you gonna do you do when you're like.

You know hub and heavy those -- I don't but it's a Christmas that I but I never -- holidays which I know.

This is on after that but -- right right.

They would be you do keep you do you pay attention to your exercise well I doubt I try and have a bike.

Okay and you know we come big bike and I sit on -- -- work on my iPad.

While I'm Greg doing that movement I it is different you do do it -- you would doctor -- he would of course be.

You know doing a lot like he's a menace when I had imam on my show as he came on with a tape measure and actually -- again why would you liken -- -- that.

I honestly don't know I don't know I haven't met -- -- he's seven and -- the -- he knows maybe that's why.

You know he -- he does his style by do my style of of the -- -- wanted to get your heart rate up -- -- which is does it which is the right thing to do and that's precisely you know right.

One of the biggest problems for me when I see women that come to my office and they want -- have a baby you know you look at them and I say always the same thing.

I wish we had this conversation before you got pregnant because -- -- so many things that you could have prevented for this particular pregnancy if you have done a BC and and so it also causes write it down taking care your body.

When I was eligible gonna say when I want to come it's come to my office -- wanna have -- be anonymous sperm to.

That's sort thought you well no no no no it's -- about prevention I'll keep that if you get invited to the view one day I'll tell you hold the whole Michigan's.
