Enough but I want to go to different direction enough of the piling on CNN's John King he does not deserve it.
And his question did not want it well.
Welcome everybody I'm Neil Cavuto and tied for some common sense here -- -- usually usually I reserve the sort of thing.
For the end of his show but sorry folks I can get this off my chest right now at the top of -- -- And it might over the top.
Take some of -- again.
Enough enough with making a big deal out of the question that was -- and an issue that was -- is -- I know this is gonna get -- and he was -- -- -- but enough -- making CNN's John King a villain for asking it and Newt Gingrich a hero for effectively -- -- was perfectly within his rights trying to make king the issue.
-- to discussing the comments of a former spouse.
But I think king would have been derelict in his duties as a moderator.
Had not raised it just made comments of that former spouse look I respect speaker Gingrich for the energy and intelligence -- brings.
So this race but frankly -- pile on the question of because you don't like the question.
Is getting a little long in the debate to in this race.
John King he's an excellent.
Journalists.
Newt Gingrich is an excellent politician.
The excellent politician slots away to embarrassing question -- trying to embarrass the guy who asks now that's to be expected.
The excellent journalist nevertheless asked that question.
Knowing full well a flat out -- a big one will turn on him because he did ask.
That's it was to be expect that doesn't make John -- bad for raising an issue that's become the elephant in the room.
I find it more surprising that a party whose symbol is the element would forget the irony of their response in that room.
Because -- character counts when going after Democrats as it should it should count when going after Republicans even though some think it should not.
Fair is fair.
Now argue all you want quite -- But the media is unfair to Republicans on this kind of issue.
But if memory serves me right although often late but when this stuff does happen for pure ratings Jews alone they sure as -- love this kind of its.
Gingrich is free to swat it away and say he has made peace with god -- past transgressions.
But -- the piety for those who don't -- called you're not holding back on a certain former democratic presidents transgressions.
Those a run for office know what they're getting into.
Mitt Romney and his while.
Rick Santorum and -- months Newt Gingrich and his extremes.
Now I'm very sure that -- doesn't like the -- sitting on stuff they'd rather not bring up.
But that doesn't mean those who are paid to ask questions of -- -- Should just -- down John King knew what he was getting into raising these issues with the speaker.
But let's be clear here.
These aren't John king's personal issues these are the speaker's personal issues these -- John -- marriages.
These -- the speakers marriages again Newt Gingrich says he has made peace with god and all of us.
But that doesn't mean that voters of all stripes hearing -- clearly angry former spouse speak out are not entitled to at least some response from him on that's.
He responded good -- him but he did so ripping the guy asking for that response.
My opinion here but I think -- on him I cannot stress enough how highly I regard both -- the speaker for his smarts and -- John King for his impeccable fairness and decency.
We all know each other in this media business and I'm telling it.
King is among the -- symbols evenhanded in this business I don't care what you say I follow this stuff closely I am telling you folks.
King does not deserve this pile on business I know this -- anger -- but if I were moderating this debate.
You can damn well -- -- have led with that question.
And risks that response.
I've experienced firsthand what it is like to get a Gingrich non response.
No effects are but you didn't answer my question of what would.
What would you do.
To -- -- move on this week but -- within a year.
What's the congressional Republicans then they should attach it to the middle class tax cuts and it's the president flew.
Now again I -- don't want you to let me stress mr.
Gingrich is phenomenal at these debates he's very good at the substance he's very -- -- the theater both are important.
Crowds love it when you go after media guys just -- John King just ask Juan Williams just ask Chris Wallace and I I guess yet just -- We are not responsible for the private lives and candidates -- to ignore we are responsible to our viewers to let them decide whether they should ignore.
Let the public decide whether it's silly you didn't even in the face of very serious allegations with a former president.
It did not even in the face of unproven allegations with a former presidential candidate.
Again what the folks decide if it matters let John King do his job giving them that chance.
