But in what it's got to be a unique occurrence on this campaign trail Mitt Romney showed a 45 minutes early.

Perhaps to avoid Newt Gingrich but he made remarks to a very very big crowd there enthusiastic crowd lots of Romney signs.

But his remarks really signaled -- preparedness.

For defeat tonight.

He said that it's going to be a long race he mentioned not just South Carolina and Florida which votes in ten days he went on to talk about Colorado Michigan and Nevada states that don't vote.

For several more days after Florida so he's -- into February and march and beyond.

Talking about the long slog he expects this race to be which really is telegraphing the likelihood in the Romney -- strategic view of a defeat here in South Carolina.

Though they are hoping that -- organization can rise up and help and they do have governor Nikki haley's organization to a system that.

Then Newt Gingrich showed up at approximately on time should point out that -- -- about fifteen minutes.

Newt Gingrich did show up on time -- -- about 45 minutes in the crowd was huge in the first thing out of his mouth was -- met.

And called out his rival and started talking about how he'd hoped there would be a debate of the two of them could actually discuss issues.

Gingrich made the rest of his remarks at one point said that he recognized that there were a lot of Romney supporters and signs in the office thought that he hoped.

But at some point they might come to their senses and joined his campaign further down the road.

That's just two candidates here at Tommy's ham house today we gotta remember that there are two others Ron Paul the Texas congressman's been polling in third place.

Rick Santorum the former Pennsylvania senator has been very successful and rousing crowds and building on what was now decisively his Iowa caucus win.

Announced officially by state Republican Party officials -- not guys state.

It's right now Santorum won Iowa.

Mitt Romney won at New Hampshire and South Carolina counting down to the polls and it could be a three way split with three -- -- four candidates each having put a victory in their column.

Which raises questions about Ron Paul who has been working the campaign trail aggressively has loyal supporters many of them young.

In South Carolina he didn't campaign as aggressively as any of his other opponents.

In part because this is a state with one of the highest per capita.

Up populations in the country of both active and retired military and many Republicans feel that mr.

Paul's.

Foreign policy international affairs and military ideas are out of step.

Don't count out Ron Paul -- certainly not counting himself out -- -- says he's going on so unlike presidential campaigns in years past -- The field gets winnowed in the Iowa and New Hampshire and generally South Carolina picks the front runner in the nominee eventually there's a very real possibility in fact the candidates have virtually promised that.
