Candidate Newt Gingrich good morning -- good to have you here to that.
The money so what your reaction what did you think of the speech last night.
Well he has a disastrous idea buried in the speech.
To double the capital gains tax on everybody who invest in creates jobs.
It would be literally lead to the largest bear market in American history.
It would destroy the value of investments.
It would drive people to create jobs outside the United States.
And I think he understands it.
In Indiana I'm -- I'm interested in your -- and I with that.
Because I spoke about a little bit earlier basically there was no discussion last night -- doubling the capital gains tax but when you talk about.
Taxing all that money at 30% that's exactly what you would you cracked.
-- yeah you know what you don't know -- Obama is whether as a clue what it meant when he said.
But he said he wants a 30% minimum tax on people with a million dollars income that if you -- if you capital gains that would double.
-- capital gains tax that would kill jobs kill investments discourage people from investing in the United States.
It would be.
An enormous -- of the economy.
It would drive down the buy the stock market which affects every person who has a pension fund every person whose retirement account has stocks -- I think literally the president probably did not have a clue last night when he was saying.
But if he means it it is a proposal for a very deep recession.
And that I think should overshadow the rest of the speech because it is such a destructive concept.
Now it's -- -- -- -- you're going to be talking about a lot more and you know eat right now the way that you found in what ways founded in South Carolina he clearly you are top.
You're a fighter and that seems to be what resonated with folks in South Carolina.
We -- -- your moments ago he's innovation under estimate.
Newt Gingrich and his strength at this point in this race but you know the the looked side of that one side of that I guess I might say.
Would be let them determinant system ugly -- that is surfacing between -- Mitt Romney in the way that the -- you're speaking to each other anecdotally.
Of people brought that that would mean the last couple days is that when I thought it you know the -- up that the other night I just.
I want eternal -- it was getting ugly what what do you think anybody that the guy.
I -- look it here's a challenge.
Governor Romney for six years -- is going to be president he spent millions I think forty million of his own money last time.
He's been out there campaigning.
Everybody Tony is doing fine.
All of a sudden in Gallup he's behind in Rasmussen he's behind he loses south on a landslide.
And so he's desperate and so he's attacking every way he can.
And that makes it frankly nasty.
I'm very happy to run a positive campaign I'm very happy to focus on Barack Obama.
I don't need to pick a fight -- governor Romney but I also can't stand on a debate stage.
And have him say things that are untrue and not respond to -- -- in a sense he creates what I thought was it the worst.
Tone of any debate we've had was Monday night that is because Romney was desperate.
You know it it that -- there's a new poll -- this morning that says it 33%.
Of the voters out there would like to see a new candidate in this race.
And there's talk now of this going for a very long haul.
You know primarily the talk is between you would Mitt Romney at this point going for the long -- What do you think the possibility is -- above a third candidate last -- kind of thing entering -- Well they did they could.
That happens you know when Reagan ran there was -- as various -- began to fail the establishment was desperate to find somebody to run against Reagan.
But it becomes technically increasingly hard just because so many states have -- past their deadline for filing for delegates so he gets trickier and trickier the longer it goes on.
Plus I think frankly if you look at the of the vote in South Carolina where we set a record carrying 43 out of 46 counties.
We swept every single demographic group piece of the very young who voted for Ron Paul.
A discharge me -- unlikely you're gonna see effective third candidate at this point enter the race.
By this is governor Romney right gonna win and I think because his record in Massachusetts is so liberal by Republican standards.
It's very hard for him -- Republican primary to defend.
Being pro abortion pro gun control pro tax increase -- in got a lot as an eagle there.
In those who -- that it had talked about it last night and Charles Krauthammer talked about it as well -- have a -- that he expect that you will fall back a bit.
I in -- because keeping the establishments gonna come right after you at a track in front and then there Krauthammer last night -- look.
Do you think Freddie Mac will be a vulnerable spot -- Newt Gingrich she's -- make no mistake about that what do you think about that.
Well I think that was before we learned that Mitt Romney in fact as -- stockholder in both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Key question yesterday of -- such a great manager how come he didn't do anything as a stockholder about these two companies.
I didn't know -- last night after all these weeks of them attacking me that he owns stock in both companies.
Like -- he's a guy who graduated manner this morning he had -- -- to comment on that because he heard what you're bringing up about that.
He spoke to FOX & -- this morning and -- that looked at my money's been managed in a blind trust for many years.
I am not an active you know investor in an out of stock thinking he claims absolutely -- any that the money that you know is invested in and he felt.
Well you know probably with a positive rather than money being taken out a -- to pay you one point six million dollars that's what he says about that.
So so in other words he did know or didn't know that he had money in and Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ethnic that I I can't tell Romney which is -- truth it --
