Blazes -- of the Hernando County Republicans and vice chairman of the Republican Party of Florida and and that kind of -- -- part of the time barrier as well.
It is it is part of the Tampa area were about thirty minutes north of Tampa OK what are you finding it.
The issues that matter most to Republican voters in -- county.
But basically it's a lot of the same things it's a lot of the jobs the economy.
And basically you know overreaching federal government that have that has been intruding into a lot of people's lives.
Over taxation and when things -- really concerned with right now.
The direction of this country when it comes to the class warfare rhetoric coming out of the left.
Fired up do you think the Republicans.
All -- this time.
01 ever or whomever the nominee for the Republican audience.
Yeah I think I think we're gonna see record turnouts come November.
My I think you're gonna see a lot of different.
Factions of the Republican Party.
But pro life.
Religious right you see a lot of fiscal conservatives you can see a lot of libertarians and Robin to come out one cohesive unit and get a job done and that job is going to get -- -- out of office.
Now how damaging though -- this race for the nomination.
Mean do you believe in it has been particularly personal particularly nasty.
Particularly the last couple of weeks between you Gingrich and Mitt Romney has it damaged which ever of those might emerge as the eventual nominee.
It is possible but that's for the voters to decide I will tell you personally I I do think this negative tone is a little bit too much for the voters.
I do hear that on a daily basis why they being so negative I think this that is 92% of all ads.
Are negative I think -- when he comes November once we find out who our nominee is going to be you we're gonna attack Barack Obama on his issues.
The so I like seeing some of the fire that some of these candidates coming out -- with I just don't like seeing it.
Being addressed other Republicans you know a lot of the anxiety that we have -- towards Barack Obama his policies and now and what their -- doing in the senate which is not.
Voting on a lot of good legislation coming out of the house are you disappointed knowing you'll candidates that it has become so personal so negative.
A little I I think you know the United States is a we are a great nation probably the greatest Republican this.
World has ever known and I think we need to get that positive message across.
I wish -- would be a little bit less negative than a little bit more positive about the things we're going to be doing for this nation.
So and how.
Does Mitt Romney if he becomes the nominee how does he -- away.
From some of the mall right wing comments that he is made including for instance a self deportation remark about it illegal immigrants.
And how how does he turn away from the negativity.
And aggressiveness and focus his fire.
On beating President Obama by winning the independents because that's how he's gonna do it ultimately is -- Well yes well if Mitt Romney is the eventual nominee he's definitely gonna have to -- He's going to have to turn this into day pro United States a pro capitalism message and I think -- it'll be able to do that.
I think the the consolidating force here especially for independence is that I think people are realizing that.
The president's policies have failed the American people and that more many independents more and more every day starting to see that.
And you know what this nation needs is we need problem solvers we don't need a teleprompter readers and I think that that's what we're going to be.
The seeing a bad message coming out is that this administration simply can't solving these problems.
They just creating more problems independents are noticing that and that's why they're gonna be voting in droves to remove -- Obama from office in November.
