He is fresh off of his Florida wins so where's presidential candidate Mitt Romney today.
Headed to Minnesota.
Leaving his rivals to fight for the round in Nevada where he will be later today no doubt he would love to have our next guest endorsement congressman Michelle Bachmann.
Joins me now congressman good to see this morning walk on.
Thank you Martha good beyond with you this morning they united and all kinds of buzz about your folks' meeting with the Romney folks last night that was reported.
One of your former advisors went over and was a debate coach -- Mitt Romney that has been you know sort of mentioned as one of the reasons that he.
Was so strong and -- recent debates in Florida what expected talked about today.
Well what will I be talking -- governor Romney about today GAAP.
Why I I don't have any intention is -- the governor Romney today actually he will be in Minnesota I'm in.
Washington DC doing my job in the United States congress.
And there are some reports that came out this morning that my team and the Romney teamwork we're -- about endorsement.
That isn't true I talk to all of the candidates on a regular basis.
I enjoyed talking to that we had a wonderful relationship and comradery and the presidential campaign trail.
That continues but I haven't yet made a decision about who I will endorse or if I will endorse before the nominee is show that there's no doubt -- that one of the reasons for is stopping in Minnesota today that he reluctant to talk to you about getting your endorsement and I know that you're being very diplomatic about.
We're gonna support -- event.
The races coming up in Minnesota on February the -- -- and some -- saying that it would be great for you to do that endorsement before than the saudis out of a good in a position for you to be into thinking well.
At this point I don't have any plan to make an endorsement Minnesota -- -- -- seventh and I encourage all of the candidates.
To come to my great state of Minnesota -- -- that they are.
People will really enjoy being up close and personal look all the GOP candidates but at this point mark I haven't made a decision about endorsing right now what do you think holding you back at this point.
What are you waiting line.
I I I think it's important that the people make the choice about who they want and my goal is to make sure that Obama is defeated as I'm sure people across America.
Also want to make sure happens I wanna be a unifying voice I wanna bring together the Tea Party the establishment evangelicals.
Because we have to also bring in independents and disaffected Democrats we have to defeat Obama.
That's my intention once we have a lot of factional -- going on now.
I wanna bring the factions together yeah and that's what I -- -- do go all across the country and -- who ever the nominee is defeat Barack Obama you know we looked at all of that exit poll information last night congresswoman Bachmann and and the one area and that.
Was a little bit weaker permit -- -- a very strong and -- Florida of course but the Tea Party support.
For those who say they are strong supporters of the Tea Party.
Went to Newt Gingrich were looking at the far right now by 45%.
-- -- 33% you of course are very strong voice for this group of people.
For the very conservative for the Tea Party voter.
And any one of these candidates is gonna wanna try to bring that group into the -- in order to take that tremendous fire and passion that they have.
For trying to change things in this country.
And you know I guess a lot of people think that you would it would go a long way act to have that support from you -- do you think you'll give it to somebody along the -- care.
It's entirely possible but I haven't made that decision yet and I'm happy that she talked about the Tea Party in terms of not just numbers but the fire power -- -- 2010.
When we saw the Republicans retake the House of Representatives.
It was because squarely.
The support of the Tea Party and they deliver that support.
The Tea Party isn't just right wing conservatives the Tea Party is made up of independents and disaffected Democrats.
It's a crowd of people that are very tired of Washington DC and they want the country to work again.
And these are important voters that we have to bring in to our presidential campaign in 2012.
And so I've -- rather than just respecting the Tea Party.
That we need to be lifting them up and listening to the Tea Party because they have a lot to say about common sense about what we need in our message be to win in 2002 we got -- WTO one point called new economy it Romney put them altogether -- Gingrich met Ronnie and -- you -- not really was conservative enough.
And they eat and feel like they were in mistaken -- background anything may seem lately change your mind about that are you still see them that way.
Well hey I thought I was the very best candidate up on that stage that a had at all the voters of our choosing otherwise.
So again I'm not going to take my marbles and go home.
I'm going to be a part of this process as we have to defeat Obama in November and I congress and Michelle -- great to have you here I'm Iran and the ground Minnesota.
And dad said to be courting your endorsement as I'm short Newt Gingrich's as a balance -- -- And Ron Paul -- to -- -- -- -- having your today but I can say thank you -- -- without a permit.
