Komen.

Accused of caving now to political pressure after they cut funding for treatments -- Planned Parenthood.

Democratic California senator Barbara Boxer had this to say about a quote.

I was perplexed and troubled to see the decision by Susan G komen for the care.

To cut off funding for life saving breast cancer screenings -- Planned Parenthood because of a political witch hunt.

I'm joined now by Fox News legal analyst Peter Johnson junior -- so basically Susan G.

Komen had been providing grant money.

To Planned Parenthood for quite some time and they say that within their policies they cannot do this when an organization is under investigation.

-- and -- -- is under investigation by brute congressman cliff Stearns of the Florida who launched the congressional investigation last September.

To determine whether in fact Planned Parenthood which performers more than 300000.

Abortions a year nine out of ten pregnant women that go to Planned Parenthood.

We'll have abortions whether they were using federal funds for those abortions and that's against the law itself.

These Susan komen the breast cancer foundation said that they have a policy.

When an organization to whom they are giving money and they've given.

Hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars millions of dollars over the years for a breast cancer awareness biopsies and mammograms -- -- we're gonna stop to funding.

But obviously this is part and parcel.

Of the culture war.

Meeting the health wars.

President Obama on this new policy that Catholic groups and Catholic bishops.

So also what Planned Parenthood it's my understanding that they provide.

Mammograms and other types of breast screening which is why they would have received this grant money.

Komen right so now they will not receive that money to do that.

Either that's exactly the point they were never providing money for abortions -- contraceptives they were only providing money for breast cancer.

Awareness in breast cancer treatments until that money will not be.

Available there seemed to be a lot of casualties.

In this ongoing war that is going on now in terms of abortion in terms of sterilization.

In terms of contraception.

And Planned Parenthood since its inception has been at the forefront of being for abortion.

And and choice.

In America the komen foundation.

Under the the sense that there's a congressional investigation is saying no we're not gonna give money for these tasks so anymore let me ask you real quick here -- Planned Parenthood is no longer under investigation -- believe that the -- foundation we'll go back to providing the -- that's a great question I don't know what the answer it is on that.

But I think that organizations.

In America.

Charitable foundations.

Health organizations they have the right to make a determination about.

How -- -- they're giving money if the komen foundation is not giving money to Planned Parenthood I think.

You can assume and rest assured that they will find other outlets that will also provide.

Mammograms -- also provide biopsies that will also provide breast health services especially to underserved and underprivileged.

Women who need those services so badly in this country.

But the culture wars the religious wars the contraception -- the abortion war.

Goes on and I think this is another demonstration.
