I don't waste the violence now and the world waits to hear the exact cause of pop icon Whitney Houston's -- EL EPE is placing eight.
Security hold on Houston's autopsy report meanwhile.
Meaning it could be several weeks before the findings -- ever made public it's a common practice in high profile cases.
Well we had a security old son Michael Jackson.
Brittany Murphy -- -- time all high profile cases and a lot of times on in custody -- officer involved shooting.
Cases or high profile murder cases.
We'll put security hole to give law enforcement agency a chance to.
Do further investigation.
Joining us now is Rod Wheeler former DC detective and Fox News contributor -- good to see you -- -- morning Greg why not just you know publish.
The preliminary findings of the autopsy examination and then you know with the caveat that -- still waiting.
A final decision pending the toxicology.
Well that's the question Greg that I think a lot of people have this morning and I think I can shed some light for the viewers as to why.
The police department have decided to put a security hold on the information.
This investigation is still somewhat a fluid investigation even though Greg.
The corn are out there and in California has sad that there doesn't appear to be again doesn't appear to be.
Any evidence of foul play however does the name Conrad Doctor Conrad Murray bring a -- out.
What do I mean by that simply this if Whitney was given xanax.
And it's been alleged that she also.
Possibly had valiant and Adam van another -- the question here for the investigators and I'm sure that's what they are doing this morning Greg gets.
Why was she prescribed these three particular drugs if in fact they were found on the state.
Because as every one note that makes the combination of those drugs will obviously be lethal.
Yeah they could be country indicated depending upon the doses and absolutely when you're taking him with -- and so on and so forth so if I hear you correctly.
On it there's a possibility here that somebody could be charge.
You know Greg it's always that possibility and that's why it's so important that we not jump to conclusions now.
I honestly don't believe -- past history with the her challengers -- drug abuse had anything to do with her death actually believe -- -- just -- not knowing.
As a person probably would not know that you can't make certain drugs with adult beverages and it sounds like at this point.
From the information that we have that's what happened she may be had a -- -- -- as yet taken prescribed medication.
Again when they're given these types of medications Greg -- the powerful drugs.
You're supposed to be under constant.
Physician doctor care so the question that the investigators have this morning reagans why wasn't she monitored a little bit more closely when she was prescribed these very powerful -- you were Bob and -- -- before you became a police officer.
We have vast experience in these kinds of situations when you go in there.
It postmortem mean in the body is still there there are certain things you will force an investigator what are that.
Exactly there's certain things that -- initially got to look for one you obviously -- -- look for the obvious signs of trauma to the body.
Which we didn't have in this particular case you know things like a syringe in the arm.
Gas against they had -- rest those kind of things that you got to start rolling that out.
The other thing that they're gonna do right away as an investigator it's collect all the medications and a person's home.
You want to take those medications you wanna document whether or not those medications were open.
And how much of the medication is they are all that information -- Is going to go over to the medical Examiner's office where it is this morning.
And the -- -- just in case and they're gonna go through that very thoroughly and like I said I don't work back that the investigators today are going to be -- -- probably interviewing her possessions.
Rod Wheeler many thanks for your expertise appreciate it sir thank you Greg.
