Well it turns out that there are really food police after all folks listen -- this one a preschooler.
Brought her own school to lends her lunch to school or other she -- -- the fact -- -- -- get a Turkey sandwich a banana.
Apple distance strike -- very much like when I send my kids out but in the morning but apparently the school stepped in they decided -- actually was not nutritious enough.
Because it was missing the all important vegetable even mention -- she also had.
The banana.
So they took away her food.
-- the state -- -- was in the -- took where food and -- little girl over to the lunch line for which she had to pay a dollar 25 for her lunch.
And they gave her chicken nuggets instead have -- it.
And -- now in this baffling story by Peter Sprague -- is a senior fellow at the family research council Peter.
Good morning.
-- this is ridiculous this.
-- -- when I first heard this story I thought surely this has to be an urban legend.
I couldn't believe it was true but I apparently there's been enough -- reported enough documentation.
That it is true.
If we live in a country where -- parent can no longer pack a lunch school out for her own child.
That's not creeping totalitarianism that's raging totalitarianism.
-- I just can't -- it.
And there is no way I mean any massive band cafeterias in the past years now know that -- -- that's coming out of there I'm sorry in most cases it is -- you know either.
Boiled to death arm it was frozen to Begin with -- is -- -- that they put the little girl in a few chicken nuggets apparently she was missing the vegetable.
And they say that that does it -- the the -- of agriculture guidelines.
And they also sent her home with an admonishment to tell her mother that quote she was not packing her lunch properly.
What what what does this mother have any recourse in the situation.
-- -- -- -- I'm not sure what a legal recourse you might have I mean.
This is the kind of thing where I think congress needs to look at the S and see how.
The bureaucratic state is taking -- of congress is written I mean I'm sure congress never passed a law saying that that the federal government can overrule a parent's decision.
On their school lunch but that is how it's been interpreted.
So.
And unlike you I think that doesn't want she had sounds like a pretty balanced lunch -- I like it sounds very balance is what I'm saying Turkey sandwich banana at.
Applications and chips you know trying to chips for good measure -- actually the worst thing in a while right.
Right and ironically chicken nuggets are not exactly how they read that's true that the food police under normal circumstances so it's a bit -- -- no sense on so many levels.
We've missing that picture that the stuff that makes chicken nuggets it looks like it's an ice cream like a soft ice can dispenser and then -- be -- -- and I just.
If you look at it you'll never never never never touch another one -- again.
Peter thank you very good to have you with us today.
