-- -- left the door unlocked.

Don't walk down the -- Governor Sarah Palin and I saw in the building yeah.

-- -- the double loudly and -- keep.

-- so while you don't we were just talking about.

The economy and whether or not it's improving and not getting this kind of is a little bit of this little bit that you acidity as -- stories in the starting to improve.

Percent jobless claims were the lowest in -- inspect and it -- in 08.

But I'm going we got we got.

More foreclosures coming we've got gas prices going to five -- -- got the war drum beating with Iran yet.

I'm hopeful with the economy improves everybody wants to see and improve.

Well I'm -- last year at this time governor we we -- the same little tease about the effect the economy was improving and will did not.

-- look at them yet the other indicators and not just that.

Eight point three an employment number and I beg to differ with that because I think that reflects a lot of people who have just left the job market.

But -- looking at.

That the problems caused by our president's politics when you about.

And it.

Gas prices we're talking about the president's efforts to manipulate the domestic supply of energy by not allowing.

The drilling in the building of a pipeline.

In May be new refineries to come online it's supply and demand issue we're talking about who.

Off of and we talk behind your back about you've thought about this is set I mean being the governor of Alaska you.

Arm wrestle those oil companies that was your -- that's the rap about you was that you got into with the oil companies in Alaska.

My question -- -- have always wanted to ask you was the -- can't you do both did you do.

Alternative and it's easy alternative investments but you can't just turn off the switch on on fossil fuel.

Yeah it's it's this utopian -- -- of our presidents and others on the two would think that we can just transition into alternative fuels as clean Green energy.

With out developing our god given conventional resource is still -- Odd that there are there available I was the commissioner boiling gas up there in Alaska the cheer about.

Of our commission regulating -- what point Alaska -- about 20% every US domestic supply of energy so oil companies are very powerful -- up the north of course.

And you just -- might taking on the oil companies.

Basically just meant -- they have to played by the rules that.

Democratically elected officials have laid out for them if they don't play by the rules well then you know you did you have to hold two -- that was kinda taken them on.

But -- No you can do both we have to do both we have to literally have.

That all in one and three things would we do have to conserve obviously we have to develop conventionally and us we have to go with the alternatives to because.

Oil is a finite resource to -- -- didn't ye -- know that what's available today once it's gone it's gone.

-- So since -- people around the country what's like in their community.

So -- to like in Lincecum was he economy doing that Alaska is fine because 85% of our state budget is based on the price of a barrel of oil I got in trouble up there in Alaska when once in awhile when the price of oil we -- from a hundred bucks a barrel.

Down two you know to.

You're thirty bucks I say well you know what to fewer dollars we have an -- -- the fewer dollars are lawmakers can spin.

-- and then of course -- would say and you say you as a governor you can't talk like that we can because I am.

More.

-- -- the the idea of empowering our small businesses are individuals.

To do all that they AT and two.

Two -- of fish to be prosperous.

And not to look to government to do it.

Forum don't count politicians to do it for.

We really have gotten their -- that's the problem we we have a society what was at the other days sixty.

60% of the homes in America has some benefit check coming in somewhere.

And dependency on government has increased 23% under this president.

This is not by accident this is not by accident this kind of replicate some of the socialists.

Think -- of European countries.

-- you you our future is headed you look to the old world to see the new world's future if we keep going down the path that we -- on today without government dependency.

With people.

Too often assuming that -- government can make me happy healthy wealthy and wise let somebody else take care of my financial and other problems for a me.

There's -- there we're gonna have them on the TV show this weekend is Charles Marie is there's a book out about.

The breakdown in America sounds a little -- -- about the American family.

And -- you are too young to remember he starts with the date of the day before president Kennedy was assassinated.

Then how old.

Most they ended it it was most rich people -- most port people.

Most.

Minorities most majorities every 98% of the people that were adults were married.

They while they mostly went to church.

They may have been in different economic zones but they all kind of had the same values and -- and we don't have that now.

Not even close to that now we're down to something like 47%.

Of adults are married -- minority.

You look look at my own a kind of thinking selflessly here look at my life situation.

And how perhaps -- some of the things that that I personally have gone through can be used and it as an example of life happens -- for instance look at my daughter she was a teenager she was pregnant.

She has this most beautiful baby now but she recognizes wow -- would have been a lot easier and made more sense had this happen to -- decade and I went I had my education effort -- knowledge.

However.

-- the -- also is all about in your your chance for prosperity and for success are all about how you're gonna deal with the circumstances that you're facing.

My daughter Bristol decided well.

I'm gonna do this that -- -- to be independent and responsible I will take responsibility I will work extremely hard she has two jobs she works very very hard.

She's quite am modest and humble about where she does spend her money so that she has a future for her side.

She's reacted well to the circumstances.

-- that she has been and -- And it's an example of okay life happens it's not always perfect ideal situation.

How are you gonna react to dose and again are you could be personally responsible are you going to assume that government -- do it for you.

So you're getting your -- hopeful -- the next generation as I and they may they may have to learn a different way of your islander but they're gonna learn -- I'm very hopefully our foundation -- the foundation of America.

Is truly exceptional and that means we had been set aside our founders recognized we had a chance for something new something being up something different than had.

Ever been seen before -- On the face of the earth.

And we were set aside we built a strong found out -- nation based on Freeman and free markets and personal responsibility work ethic.

We have strayed from that a lot of that -- foundation is sort of after feet but we can get it back we need to teach your kids that work and I think we need to teach them independents.

Last question before you get out of here at everybody's a horse trying to figure out who your for -- and everybody else is trying to figure out who they're for half escrow.

With the jeans jeans winners in the Republican.

Crowd are you just.

I -- you've you've danced a little bit around.

You know let's keep the race going but at this point are you just.

Are you trying to just -- I have teens to around that questions so bad I hey you know -- be -- it off first to Dancing With The Stars I had to keep this up.

And I tell you I do want that process to continue I love competition I want.

Our candidates to start concentrating on the mean being the main thing is tell us what you're solutions are -- How you will help get this economy back on the right track is that of just kind of beat each other up.

Allow that competition to continue so we find that right person to go up against Barack Obama's failed policies and I shall endorse that GOP nominee.

There you go.

Governor -- Braylon they'd be here and nice -- nice to prices need to thank you for you so much we'll be right back folks don't go away.
