Forces of evil in the world.

-- forces of evil are moving.

That American would stand up.

And call evil by its name Ronald Reagan did that.

Ronald Reagan did it he called.

The Soviet Union and evil empire and the media went wild.

How dare you how dare you -- terms like good and evil.

To regimes.

Because Ronald Reagan told the truth.

He didn't sugarcoat it.

And his background and mine are very different.

I we have a Tea Party here I I think a Tea Party would find it very interesting that Rick Santorum voted to raise the debt ceiling five times.

Without getting compensating reductions in spending.

I think that the fact that he continues to defend earmarks.

Including his 500000 dollar earmark to the Pittsburgh zoo for a polar bear exhibit.

That this I don't think that's consistent with the principles of conservatism I don't think.

Rick santorum's track record is that of a fiscal conservative.

Governor Romney's put forty million dollars on money in the race -- run for six years.

I'll spend the rest of us by at least three don't want his super -- -- -- play even bigger margins.

He needs to carry Michigan he may well do so the race is -- I need to carry Georgia.

Rick Santorum needs to carry Pennsylvania that's just basics.

And that.

Internet is a little sampling of life on the campaign trail as it was yesterday you heard Rick Santorum.

Defending his 2008 speech where he said that does Satan was moving against the United States against mainline protestantism.

Academia and politics.

Income and equating it to Ronald Reagan's evil empire speech from 1983.

You heard Mitt Romney mocking Santorum for earmarking for polar bears.

And you heard Newt Gingrich.

Campaign strategist.

Talking about the needs of the various campaigns this is power play.

Welcome back and I can and nobody to help us sort this out.

That I would rather sort this out -- the Susan appreciate she's the chief congressional correspondent for the Washington examiner and she's also bird dogging these guys out on the campaign trail.

Susan welcome.

Thank you -- -- me okay now I'll let us be quick about her work and let us go out to Arizona where our colleague Alicia Acuna is.

Doing some bird dogging of her own chasing down these candidates out there.

Arizona it and Michigan are both voting on Tuesday.

Lisa what's this what's the scene on the ground out there.

Hi Chris what we're here is tailor Arizona where Mitt Romney is getting ready to speak actually quite soon we're waiting to hear from him he hasn't been here to Arizona since last week.

Hasn't really been spending a whole lot of time here but all of the candidates now.

Coming to Arizona and will it arrive in Arizona for the debate tonight I can tell you one thing is -- arizonans go in talking to pollsters here.

They're a little annoyed because they don't feel like they've gotten much attention from the candidates here.

None of the candidates are spending money on TV here hardly at all and when it comes to appearances they really just started yesterday and in -- today but I do want to mention this Marist poll that came out that might catch some people's attention -- shows Romney with a sixteen point lead.

Overseeing storm that's different than what we've seen in the past because -- shows more closing in there earlier polls rather showed more closing at.

What's different about the Marist poll is that they also include the early voters absentee voters asked exactly.

How they voted.

And it is showing that is going more towards -- which makes sense we've been talking to folks because earlier on he was looking to win Arizona he was doing much better here in the polls so this -- showing how voters are actually voting already press.

Police -- thank you very much -- and enjoy the warm weather thanks for being with us.

Think you.

Okay Susan you know and -- by the way is one of the finest -- institutions -- -- -- -- kids in New York I'm not saying that just because it's mr.

Farrell plays alma mater.

But.

The question.

Is this.

Arizona.

Has gotten short trip now it's because he's a psychological emphasis on Michigan because it -- from the Rick -- can beat Romney in his native Michigan.

-- Romney's dad was governor for three term debt that's that's a way.

Oh -- mommy oil industry used to dominate but there's a ton of delegates -- -- -- Drive but Arizona is not as close so I'm paying as much attention means running ahead by sixteen points Arizona and he he -- -- -- healthy lead there.

He needs to spend his time in Michigan because he loses Michigan imagine what the perception of -- about his team.

You lose Arizona and and not be hobbled but if he loses in Michigan it makes Super Tuesday a lot -- It's -- losing both still in the nomination Super Tuesday we're gonna Begin racking up those delegates it's about perception a few blocks away from Michigan -- either something really close or a loss.

It's -- it's gonna isn't hobble his campaign because he has to win Michigan he's from there -- father was governor.

He won the primary there by nine points four years ago if he loses now it'll make it look like something's wrong with his candidacy in his campaigns is that when it.

So tonight CNN.

Host a debate.

In Arizona.

I wrote today in the power play which -- by the way I should point out in -- and I always I must do this that you can get it by going to foxnews.com -- -- politics or.

You could just follow me on Twitter it would be so easy for you Internet you could just follow me at -- dire Walt.

Our -- Twitter and I tweeted -- there -- power play every morning so that you may enjoy it from the comfort of your hand held device but I wrote today this Santorum is based my headline was saved form brings conservative.

Bad boy appeal.

To debate he's been running as the candidate your mother warned you about he's running as the FDA asset Nazi yeah I said the devil yeah I don't think contraception is a good idea like he's all in and he is in losing conservatives who love to see people fight back.

Against the establishment press and love to see people attacked liberal -- the.

Because that's what they're not getting from -- round.

They -- -- -- for some reason rejected in new Gingrich who's left Rick Santorum he knows he has to pick up that mantle from front Gingrich with the enthusiasm.

But not sound as.

As -- -- potentially like a loose cannon is -- -- is trying to media alternative venue Cain Gingrich was and thus far has been unable to become her voters like -- tethered can't and he wants to be here.

-- -- -- -- -- Yesterday was very interesting if you listen to any of right wing talk shows with an -- right wing dot com is saying.

Even day we're asking -- in their own subtle way that Santorum toning down a little bit because of fear is that he's just gonna kind of -- to religiously conservative for voters and he won't win the nomination and they'll -- -- -- -- -- -- -- moderate candidate like Mitt Romney so they're -- in their last effort here -- their last candidate.

Was not -- that he can hold it together and become the alternative but to get there they feel -- have to stop talking about Satan.

Well now look.

As Ronnie pointed out does Romney the Romney -- -- you know most America and this is Ash Wednesday.

Most Americans believe that Satan is real thing that's -- that's and that's a at least a plurality position.

That the devil is real and that hell is real and that people go there -- and that that's out there and but I sort of get back to the same we've talked about this here before.

Where for Santorum.

The most troubling thing for him is the gap.

In these two numbers between people who.

He is their top choice.

And the number of people who think his best suited to be Barack Obama now they may think he could be Barack Obama but the fact that he continues to experience is eighteen.

Or twenty point overhang.

On the electability question.

That is got to be his the central problem for him and one that he needs to remedy before you get -- Super Tuesday right.

You remedy that by talking about the economy and jobs and things that matters are really worried about you don't remedy it by talking about.

Amniocentesis.

Prenatal -- staying.

Whether or not seeing is taking over the world.

You know hey maybe two all these other polls show people do and essentially agree with him on some of these issues.

It's just not something -- voter friendly right now and it's not something that's on appeal to mainstream voters and people who are going to the polls wondering.

Who is the best candidate to win the White House and I hear that a lot of voters on the campaign -- legal and there.

And they say look I couldn't make up my mind at the last minute I voted for Romney because I think he's going to come in the White House I can't tell you how many people.

It's the flight to safety and I think when you look at those Michigan poll numbers.

That have tightened.

As Romney has gone -- and I worked hard and said you must vote for me it's not -- just -- in this is the hard part for candidate who's running to be broadly acceptable like -- what -- offering is like I'm basically OK I'm broadly acceptable when you're running is that it's hard to get people to go vote because they say fine like you express your preference for Mitt Romney by not voting -- -- -- those people actually go vote.

Well he's dumping a lot of money now to Michigan and so that's you know he's he's he's pouring money and now he wasn't a week ago now he is -- and see those numbers close.

Almost exclusively because of his.

Ability to outspend Santorum Michigan.

That'll help and most of all don't forget Santorum was gone after people on the part of the state who don't mind summit thinks he's saying.

So it's really not necessarily -- words coming out of santorum's mouth right now that.

That cool.

Causing -- lose votes in Michigan more say it's like Ronnie is spending -- that he is unable to Spanish and didn't close -- -- And oblivion and that's -- real quick before we go to the next segment and tell you what Ron Paul said this morning.

Two radio hosts got an -- when asked about there was a strategic alliance between him -- Mitt Romney.

Not exactly said -- I mean I never sat down with -- said quote well let's do this or that end quote.

There's no doubt that he's been more of a gentleman and I talked -- -- it's never been my in my interest to go -- from everyone else was doing that.

It goes on to say the staffs have talked to each other on some things like debates in which -- -- we should go to I don't know how many things.

We have a strong agreement on so there you have it can pro Santorum conspiracy theorist -- give you something to freak out about today.
