Pacific coast time he was an -- and regular commentator for The Washington Times in an outspoken critic of the mainstream media.
And was known for his efforts -- exposing government corruption.
And media bias.
In bright -- period.
Carried a bright torch through his life each and every day.
We've heard moving tributes from several of his friends this morning Greg Gutfeld joined us Tucker Carlson.
Jonah Goldberg that right partly is behind -- daily that was known to all of those people and thought of so warmly his wife Susie and his four young children.
Left behind and they will feel his loss -- that most painful way today Sean Hannity joins me now.
By phone -- welcome shocking news this morning.
They have very very Shockey -- you know widened and -- I was I was pretty close friends with Andrew and you know the one thing that I can tell you about -- I mean he he knew only one speed in his life.
And he was going tirelessly 24/7.
With you know big government big Hollywood big journalism.
I think -- the one thing that motivated him more than anything else he had a sense of urgency that the country was really really headed in the wrong direction.
And then he lives this -- -- didn't sleep very much.
I know we did have some heart issues involved some -- about a year ago and no we don't have the details of this but he did have some some issues health issues that that I think.
Frankly were attributed their tribute it is his lifestyle because he lived you know his principles out every single day 24/7.
And what you saw was what you got a champion of freedom a guy that.
That's really really more than anything else wanted to see America get back on the right course I -- was his passion he wanted to do -- first country his kids -- family.
And it's a tragic tragic loss.
I mean he spent a lot of his time kind of thing in trying to smoke out from behind.
The bush is things that he thought were corrupt or people that he thought were being hypocritical in a way that they or.
Presenting themselves and you know some of -- stories that he worked on over the past years surely -- -- story and Anthony Weiner.
You know a number of these big issues c.'s big stories that came above a year.
Maybe things that people well now remember it to identify with him if they're not as familiar with his personal work.
You know he was fearless and and one of the things that I would ask -- every once in awhile.
Publicity if if there was some type of left -- convention going on or occupied movement going on.
You know and true love nothing more than -- go down there with a camera confront them.
Challenged them on their ideas on the -- that they would stay on their hypocrisy.
And literally -- himself in the middle of it.
And where a lot of people would say you know that's a last place I wannabe and -- like -- he enjoyed nothing more than being in the middle of that.
Because he felt that this was something that that he he was compelled to do that this was this was it as hard as was an assault.
And knowing him as well as I did behind the scenes you know he'd lived this sat out this is what his passion -- -- and that's thirteen he was always going to be in the middle of a fight but -- he felt that this was worth fighting for.
And that is if there is one thing you write more -- that he really really.
Really dislike it was this hypocrisy.
That does exist but double standard that does exist.
Where if you're on the left you -- say all types of incendiary things and it never gets noticed but if you're conservative and you say one word phrase or sentence.
That is deemed to.
Politically correct you're gonna be excoriated.
And the left or make every attempt to kind of Salinger -- so it was a real passion I can tell you behind the scenes this was him.
This is how he lived and and this is what he cared the most about.
-- was sometimes at odds with that other conservatives of course says you know at any members of any sort of philosophical group argues very supportive of the gay community within the Republican Party and wanted to make sure they had a presents a C pack.
That was problematic for him at one point but -- you know it as were saying it was true really was in terms of fervently.
Pursuing his line of thinking on any given -- is definitely true -- himself.
You know it's funny and I won't get specific stories -- they were kind of in private but there were times where he and I and it wasn't about that issue but it was about.
Certain stylistic issues about you know the best way that I thought that he could you know accomplish his goals.
And it but we had just passionate discussions back and forth either on the phone or -- -- now lower or instant message exchanges.
And that thing is there's India and you know I just realized that I had a good friend.
And I always just that fired the fact that he cared so much about all of these things.
And you know he's going to be greatly missed and though it's gotta be devastating to his wife and kids.
And and so many people loved and admired him I mean there's.
One thing that I think people looking for in troubled times and and east for many Americans that are not working.
But the 47 million Americans in poverty.
These are very trouble times.
And I think what people we're looking for and -- why they gravitated.
To Andrew and admired him so much.
Is because -- took no prisoners.
Andrew he he didn't have.
Governor he didn't have a a shut off -- and true you know Andrew was up twenty hours a day working eat -- -- live this out people do it understood it.
Those that follow him on Twitter know exactly what I'm talking about he'd be -- In battling late into the night and you know -- the people he agreed with or disagreed with -- he never backed down from a fight.
And so we had to -- a level of courage that is really almost unmatched today in media.
And he took all of he took all the shots coming his way any ticket with great -- Sean thank you -- very much for sharing.
