And -- -- live with integrity I will not embarrass -- in the White House.
And he can Beckel I -- I didn't understand the question or maybe did maybe did.
I think if I was asked a question like that.
My gut reaction would be always.
-- gut reaction would be you stand.
For the First Amendment you stand for freedom of religion before the president's -- afternoon.
I have a couple of challenges -- the American people can measure.
Is speech today.
If he's really serious about helping American people having seen yesterday's testimony.
He will fire secretary Chu and get somebody who favors less expensive gas -- And -- Internet if you happen to -- -- Republican primary -- -- a super Tuesday's state is a little sampling of what you were treated to yesterday on the campaign trail Mitt Romney saying that he would not embarrass you if you nominate him to be president if he gets to the White House Rick Santorum attacking Romney -- -- confusion.
On a religious liberty exemption to the president's national healthcare law.
And Newt Gingrich doesn't like secretary of energy Steven Chu as he campaigns -- in Woodstock Georgia and this of course.
Is power play welcome back Internet it is Friday.
It is the Friday before Super Tuesday.
But before we get to that we're going to have a caucus we're going to have some call guy.
Out in Washington State that may tell us a little bit about what's gonna happen -- today we're gonna talk about that.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Okay so -- is gonna tell you what to expect.
Super Tuesday but before we get to that.
Let's talk to our -- -- players out in the Fox News Channel Seattle bureau.
Tracking what's up with.
We do not yet have we do not get actually we'll have to wait for -- -- to tell you is what's going to happen on Super Tuesday.
I won't get you Dan as soon as -- checked in and ready to go but -- Super Tuesday big states Ohio Virginia.
Georgia Tennessee Oklahoma all have votes Mitt Romney's home state of Massachusetts.
What do we expect to see on Tuesday.
Well I think -- brownies -- end up taking Massachusetts and Vermont.
Yes you -- -- good well there.
He's gonna do pretty well in Idaho to -- dollars Mormon population.
Think the big battles right now or -- Ohio ground zero to battleground status at a high.
Number of delegates and that's where Santorum in -- -- here pouring a lot of their money.
Right now santorum's Lieberman -- it's catching up pretty quick you got to Michigan bounce and plus.
Seeing some santorum's.
And move coming out of Michigan.
Has hurt him there when you say this actually mean.
I think you do you know talking about going to college the cal snobbery goes up and do the things he said before the Michigan primary I don't have a little over -- had a little overlap that people are writing about it people are talking about going -- what's going on there.
You know Mitt Romney had -- you know I've I've been reading about Mitt Romney having a great campaign staffers is Santorum having rough campaigns.
I campaign stops so it's going to be a replay of Michigan it's gonna come down the wire looks like again -- we're gonna know who's the winner.
That night as opposed to having a landslide victory.
Newt Gingrich is in Georgia that's his last stand really got that he looks like he's investing all this time.
And -- -- can't afford to lose the state he represented in congress for two decades you know he cannot.
Because if he does people start saying hey maybe it's time and it's time ago does but it does have a high number of delegates but I can't now he says he's got -- and now having shored up his base in Georgia.
He says now goes to Tennessee because Oklahoma Kansas that he's gonna go spread out now across the country having -- -- things account.
Is there a chance for a neutral re emergence well I think you could pick up some delegates and some of the states have proportional representation and -- get smarter -- ago.
From -- get out of Georgia and get -- on some of those states especially in places like.
Tennessee he seems very happy and Woodstock Dennehy seem very happy back in Georgia maybe he should go back and well he's much more happy warrior -- -- -- -- -- bitter he called himself cheerful of the last have been very cheerful listen to me when I tell you I'm very cheerful -- OK Dan Springer I am told who can talk to us now Dan Springer you out there in Seattle yet yes I am I don't prince.
Fantastic the Internet love Seattle a lot of it comes from there so obviously they're very happy to see you.
Tell us a little bit tomorrow we have these caucuses in Washington State.
Give us -- give us off the top what's gonna happen.
Well first of all before negated a Super Tuesday you've got momentum Saturday that's of people here and watch -- -- calling it because it's the last contest before.
That all important vote on Super Tuesday where 466.
Delegates or something like that are up for grabs here.
Only 43 delegates are up for up for contest and those delegates won't even be -- sign.
Tomorrow because this is going to be a straw poll and then it's gonna be a caucus and -- the caucus still have thousands of delegates pick in the no wiggle that down.
240 billions and three automatic for the party leaders all but that'll be determined in June at the state party convention.
Here and washes.
-- so they needed help.
Yeah you're not there have -- -- violent is like Iowa and others where this is a sort of a beauty contest that happens before the delegates are to be chosen.
But it gives us an indication of what the composition of the final delegates may look like -- Exactly so people come on here they'll go to their caucus precinct and they will sign.
A sheet saying this is -- this is the candidate I prefer.
That's a straw poll.
And then that number will be tabulated and outnumber will come in later on the day.
And will be able report who won the straw poll now why is an important again because it shows who basically has.
That is the backing of Washington State heading into Super Tuesday as far as who's gonna win that.
It's really anybody's guess -- looks like it's going to be close the question isn't the one we can't answer is how many people would show off this is going to be a big time commitment for people.
And done you know to take two hours he signed it signed in than two hours to caucus than any -- delegates you know couple hours later sell.
It does take a lot of time and for people and frankly people out here aren't really used to having it matter.
Only thirteen thousand Republicans caucus now back then they split the delegates.
You know -- because it due to caucus half -- due to the primary but the state legislature scrap the Republican and democratic primary is out here to save ten million dollars and so now it's just a caucus.
We don't know how many people come -- -- Republican Party chair says he expects maybe 6070000.
Other folks are saying they'll be lucky to get 50000.
When we talk about the polls which put real quickly because only real part of the public policy poll has come out and done any polling on this race because very difficult to poll when you only have.
A small sample size like that.
They found two weeks ago that Santorum had an eleven point lead over Romney followed by Paul and then Gingrich.
Well poll taken just over the last two days showed a complete reversal -- like that Santorum.
Surge is now Santorum slide nationally it's happening here in Washington State as well.
Where now Romney -- -- PPP poll has a five point lead over Santorum followed again by.
By Paul and then Gingrich -- the polls have a reversed shoulder and I'll Romney leading now.
And may be picking up some support from a fairly good size Mormon population -- states that the six most.
Mormons in the country in the -- -- -- 270000.
People or mormons.
-- all 4% of the population but again mormons -- start turning out in places like Nevada.
And Arizona and voting for Mitt Romney so that support continues in -- state it could be a good day for Mitt Romney.
Internet Dan Springer he knows a lot of stuff so we give you our grateful thanks and have a great day and enjoy.
The excitement tomorrow.
All right Chris take care.
I'm gonna change does -- Washington caucus matter I mean it mattered when they had these -- whole thing -- -- certainly in Iowa but in other states Rick Santorum got some Jews out of that does this could this be consequential and someone.
Well it does matter because right before Super Tuesday could be an indicator.
We're kind of things are going.
You know if Romney -- to take.
Washington see -- use that in turn it builds momentum same thing with Santorum -- they can just use that for Ohio pretty much took.
