Fox News alert we are just getting word of two possible tornado touchdowns in Alabama.
Welcome to America live -- Megyn Kelly take a look at this picture look at that.
From our Huntsville Alabama affiliate what looks like a major funnel cloud moving across the city of Huntsville right now.
And we are getting our first damage reports this comes just hours after the storm prediction center issued a high risk warning for multiple states.
These types of warnings are a very big deal because they only happen -- -- times a year.
Making matters worse some of the communities in the -- are ones that were already hit by twisters just 48 hours ago.
The danger zone stretches from Ohio Indiana and Illinois down to Mississippi Alabama and Georgia.
Now facing the possibility of large hail and damaging winds and violent twisters.
In parts of Kentucky and Alabama they were not taking any chances schools they are closing early.
We have team coverage for you now we'll go to Janice Dean in a moment who predicted -- days ago.
First go to Craig Boswell who was under a tornado warning right now in the town of Harrisburg Illinois where debris is all over the ground from the storm there.
Three days ago Greg.
-- -- -- -- -- Illinois being under that tornado warning with the debris field.
And all of this wind kicking up back just before you came to us -- moments ago a portion of the structure the strip mall where we've been.
But the past -- and -- -- actually blew away from part of this steel beam structure here.
That's reason why they want to keep people away from this area they're keeping volunteers -- -- -- there's been some frustration -- that another indication of why they're doing that.
This is what they're trying to keep people away from these nails -- up from all of these all of the would all of the debris.
From buildings from homes -- -- hundred plus homes that were destroyed here.
Sheriff's deputies have been going -- for the last.
I don't know hour as this tornado watch is turned into warnings telling people just don't have some not people volunteering -- of the national old national bank.
Trying to clear things out but they've been going through trying to tell them to take shelter take this seriously and they are indeed taking this seriously.
One of the issues here is that without the electricity with the power problems one of the tornado sirens just across the -- road here.
Not working at this point so that's why another reason why the deputies are having to go along let people know what's going on tell them that we are under a warning here in fact -- the one of the storms is about ten to twelve miles out just to the north of -- back to talk to a family.
Who brought there's their son out here to volunteer to help wanted to help some of the people just bringing that simple things I can't sanitize or they ask us.
What do we do have for tornadoes nearby we told him our planet here's the plan that we -- there's a culvert right over here.
Just about -- thirty to forty yards whoever broadcasting that is the plan for us in a lot of people in this area to get down into underneath that concrete structure.
Because even if it's just strong winds much of this -- it's going to be picked up and moved on and certainly blown this way so that's the area in which we are going to.
Go once if something were to happen of course wants to get through this today the -- clean up here continues.
Better weather tomorrow and of course not only -- the cleanup.
Two the I funerals scheduled for this weekend -- tomorrow afternoon three more on Sunday.
-- the six victims here of this tornado that came -- now just about two days ago Megan.
-- this is.
Incredible to see you out there as we know there's a warning for a tornado meaning what has been spotted on the ground or on radar.
There within within the last of the few minutes.
Can you show us again where -- where are you going if a tornado hits.
Stand by -- by loss a satellite -- But we -- back.
We may -- -- just a little bit there we go probably blow in and out of the satellite -- right there just over the grass just into this ditch.
And that culvert where it's a concrete structure underneath the ground that it will be public you hunkered down in there right that's right this out if indeed.
There is that need for that of course -- sheriff's deputies are saying look need to really pay attention to that.
And people here are definitely paying attention.
I can see them under the gun people that were here working.
Have gone they are indeed paying attention to all of the watches and warnings as they -- hopefully get through this day get through tonight where they can really.
Begin the cleanup in earnest tomorrow.
Craig keep us posted stay safe don't be a hero thank you very much -- you know you saw that the pictures ladies and gentlemen of the of the boards with the nails exposed that's sadly the least of the danger because you're talking about.
These twisters can pick up -- cars and trucks.
And that's how -- people die in these storms so we're gonna keep checking back in with Greg.
And see what happens there on the ground in the meantime as I said moments ago Janice Dean predicted exactly this was gonna happen today.
A couple of days ago right here she's been tracking this all week Janice what is the very latest now.
I'm hoping that the next time we go to -- that he's actually in that secure area because.
That tornado warning is just north west of Harrisburg but I want to show you Megan as the go to the radar up tornado watches right now in effect.
-- parts of Alabama in towards Tennessee you see little blip on the radar here because somebody straw strong storms actually could be taking out some of those radar -- As we zoom and I just want to show you what we have.
Are -- the latest tornado warnings just moving in towards parts of Kentucky west -- Bristol but as we move up towards.
That area that we just saw Craig Boswell I want to point your attention here to it.
Keep -- -- right there.
There's there's a strong super cell that is just pushing north eastward.
There it is you can just see it there.
That's called left hook echo that's what we look at as meteorologist on doppler radar that's the precipitation actually wrapping around the center of rotation you can actually see that -- forming in the last few frames here just moving -- to Buchanan so even though.
Craig is okay were really worried about that particular storm moving north.
Eastward towards his region Cape Girardeau -- pleasant grove all of these areas need to be on alert.
For very large super cells that are right now containing.
Tornadoes and as you mentioned Megan very rare that we see this high risk area only a couple times of year.
And that means the storm prediction center really thinks we're going to see long lasting potentially destructive tornadoes people need to be taking these warnings very seriously I hope -- I hope Craig is right now absolutely Janice thank you we'll be back to you often throughout the next two hours.
He -- at this.
