Great to see this morning so -- so what do you know about Tony west in what troubles you about this position.
Well look Tony west took on and his firm some the most radical causes for America's enemies.
Before come -- -- Justice Department he represented the American Taliban John Walker -- This is part of a pattern -- Obama's Justice Department.
A feeling it with attorneys who before they came to justice took on the most radical causes and now there there -- filling the Justice Department from top to bottom.
Now look at if you know a lawyer which -- we we all know if you.
We know -- sometimes take on clients that you do not believe in does who you represented represented you as a person in most cases.
Well in most cases no but don't forget Tony west when he took on the representation of John Walker to win.
Even after the sentencing he was out shilling for -- he said things like literally to the Washington -- I think he'll have a lot to offer after he gets out of jail me what is he gonna have to offer when he gets out of jail how to endear yourself to prominent Democrat lawyers.
I mean -- -- no reason to be talking.
Like that I mean the these are dangerous people you seek them out.
Their law firm represented a lot of other people like Mohamed vs jets and data case against the CIA.
The Alka -- case now the most dangerous thing is that west is overseeing gitmo policy it's not just that he's it's -- some guy at the Justice Department licking envelopes.
It's now here's what Tony west had to say about why he decided to represented.
John Walker Lindh he says quote I fully believe.
-- and working on that case I was re committing myself to those principles of due process.
Fairness things that separate us from most nations in the world and I guess the point is is that even the most heinous criminals.
Got it under our tenants of criminal justice and are entitled to legal representation.
Well they are Allison the good for him in another generation.
In another time representing America's radical enemies would not have qualified you for a job at the Justice Department it would have disqualified you.
But in the Obama administration.
They have brought in attorney after attorney west chief of staff Ben Martinez.
Ian -- -- These are the attorneys who west is brought in all of them work for gitmo detainees and now they're in charge of -- policy.
Former DOJ official -- Christian Adams thanks for being with us this morning from DC.
