Thank you very much for that very nice reception.
Everybody going to vote tonight.
Are we going to win.
-- -- Because of liberty is -- -- well let me tell you that this country -- radiant raring.
And tonight we are going -- an area -- message to the rest of the country.
And a -- Iowa upset so many times the American people are way -- handle Washington why -- it does sound asleep.
-- -- on the right track so make sure they hear our message all.
All the way to TC.
And that message that message is not complex most people in this country realize -- we're having problems.
Like we spend too much money now and then on.
And.
We -- too much money now and then government grows and lead by leaps and bound.
But the one of the things that they have done over these last hundred years has been very detrimental especially the last forty years is they want government to grow endlessly we don't have the money they run out of borrowing power.
Guess what they do you would have never guessed they start printing money.
Okay.
I.
And of course that leads to more -- now the world's facing.
Debt crisis in the debt crisis and consequence and natural consequence of predict a -- consequence of the monitors estimate we have.
That we -- a hundred years ago with the Central Bank which Thomas Jefferson tried so desperately to prevent.
So they haven't.
I'm a very good job they took a dollar a night that dollar 1913.
-- worth one panning.
So I would say it's time we celebrate next year.
The 100 anniversary of the Federal Reserve by repealing the Federal Reserve back.
Okay.
-- -- But that.
A lot has happened and penalized for years these products have been going on for a long time -- be nice if we can blame one person or one administration.
This thing going on long time so and so many young people here I think -- realizing.
You're getting a bad -- for what you're inheriting you'd like a much better deal and the deal the better deal can be found in less government.
And already sending people to Washington who have actually read the constitutional will Obey the constitution and take their oath of office seriously.
-- treat me which McCain so many wonderful things for us take for instance if you're tired of the wars I hope you're sick and tired of the large network.
What if we have.
Had the return to the constitution the founders made sure war in the document.
In the constitution.
The two wars would only -- not by the executive branch but only by the people through their representatives in congress that's the way all -- should be clear.
If necessary they should be declared one and get him over -- and come home that's the way it was -- But since.
Since world.
World War II we have gone to war with out a declaration.
It for that reason we essentially had not won one of those wars it has lot of -- outlawed a tragedy just that these past two years these wars we're fighting in the Middle East.
Over 8500 Americans have died.
A 44000.
Have come back with serious injuries amputations all kinds of problems.
Hundreds of thousands looking for help the cause a post traumatic stress syndrome.
At the same time economically it's been very damaging.
And it has added four trillion dollars to our national debt that is what -- -- This is the reason why it's so important you're talking about peace and prosperity.
You have to change the constitution.
And have a lot less war and make a lot more sincere effort to promote the cause of peace.
But this is being going on for a long time it both administrations have been doing this and this is the reason that the message of liberty.
Actually brings people together because it.
Individuals see that the parties aren't doing a very good job you like one part of the cut the spending they raise that -- and the spending as well another party -- supposed to do the job.
They go in and nothing changes so if you look at the candidates today.
There is very little difference except for one.
Okay.
The rest.
The rest of the candidates support the status quo foreign policies never change monetary policy doesn't change there's no challenge to the Federal Reserve System.
And most of all there's no no.
The desire to protect personal liberty personal privacy.
Protect us from the intrusion truce that mess up the federal government to protect your right to -- used to use the Internet.
He's the kind of things that are so important so many people and unfortunately.
That is not offered I believe it is the offering -- Of a program that.
That emphasizes personal -- the constitution.
Sound monetary policy -- -- sensible foreign policy.
Is the reason the momentum is building in the reason why we're getting such a great reception here in North Dakota.
Okay.
We're in the best -- in this have a financial crisis the financial crisis at the biggest one in the history of the world.
There was a time when we were right creditor nations we would have ups and downs but -- creditor nation.
And we had a lot of productivity we have a lot of wealth it we have borrowing power.
Today we are a debtor nation we the biggest debtor nation debtor nation in the history of the world.
Our productivity is going down drastically we create no significant new jobs.
At the same time there's never a lack of it is for more spending.
So what we should be proposing and what I've proposed is in the first year to cut the budget in real terms by one trillion dollar.
But.
The proposal by others is to cut the proposed increase is their -- the proposed increases called baseline budgeting.
They assume that the budget will go up by ten plus trillion dollars in the next eight years.
So if they talk about cutting one trillion dollars -- talking about cutting 100.
Billion dollars.
I hear a proposed increases which means there -- zero cuts.
What I'm talking about a real cuts actually cutting that you can't do this lets you change policy.
If you expect to have the entitlement system.
Help welfare and it's different cradled the great free housing free food and free medical care free education you can't do it.
If you expect to continue to be the policeman of the world and advocates preemptive war going in the country occupying countries if you want that kind of -- policy.
You cannot do it.
You know what will happen if we don't change policy.
We are going to end up in -- financial crash there is going to be a dollar crisis and we are all of us up the consequence so it is it our best interest.
Not only of the younger generation but everybody we're not passing this on to the next generation we pass that onto this current generation that is why it's so vital that we get a handle on things.
Understand what liberty is all about what the constitution means and -- limited government.
Personal liberty and property rights is the road to peace and prosperity.
Okay.
And -- week.
And it has been said that no army can stop an idea whose time has come.
And the idea of returning this country to the principles of liberty that idea is alive and well it -- alive and well and growing by leaps and bounds in that is why this country's changing significantly.
The message is loud a clear and growing exponentially.
Am I am optimistic to believe that we can in turn this around that we have to cut the spending a lot of people say well you cut this this is this it.
And I actually am a transitional program.
I -- -- -- trillion dollars -- I wanna have priorities.
I want to really start with the overseas spending overseas spending and the welfare occupation.
We albeit would agree it's spend the money here comedy after -- not ever say.
So therefore you know I want to force to protect certain at certain budget problem.
For a program phrases we make promises to the Albert -- handed -- medical care Social Security -- -- health care.
Actually my plan will actually work protect.
Those individuals what about protecting the infrastructure protecting those states and parts of the country.
It need money for you know ports and -- the canal and flood -- art projects.
Would I vote for that and what I advocated by adding more debt and -- no I would not let me tell you how we could do it.
We could do it by cutting spending overseas to such an extent you actually cut the deficit and put the money that you want to for some programs in back -- I'll.
Not to raise taxes and not to raise the dead yet at that and actually -- that -- and donate increased spending weakened -- that I'm working our way out.
For instance.
There -- a few years ago.
They built an embassy in Baghdad.
-- an embassy -- -- and was close to a billion dollars but that was only the beginning this year the appropriation.
For that embassy was nearly five billion dollars to operate it.
Now -- say this that we need to project here at home.
Why can't we cut that five billion dollars out forgot about that embassy in Baghdad that's only -- lead to trouble.
Take it cut -- -- take 2.5 billion dollars.
Off the deficit it's bad that 2.5 billion dollars here packet -- on projects.
But there is there is no doubt that you can't have economic reform and economic growth that much you look at the monetary policy.
Financial bubbles are cause for reason and they come from excessive credit artificially low interest -- excessive spending by the federal by the Federal Reserve System.
So if we want to sound economic policy we have to address that subject.
But you know if if we if we do all these things we still have another major problem that he has the all of -- -- responsibility of the government the real purpose of the constitution.
The real purpose of what Republicans should be about it isn't to have welfare from cradle degraded isn't for us to be the policeman of the world.
But the government of limited government that we should happen in a constitutional republic.
Should be designed to protect our liberties and nothing else that should be that -- Okay.
And it.
And -- of this of course includes a strong national defense but not an offense -- -- -- -- defense we should defend our country's necessary.
If we go to war toward the wars have to be -- they should be fought won in a bar with and get the troops back comes quickly as possible.
There has been out there has been -- a steady erosion of personal liberties in this country in that is -- we've been so careless about the.
But that's been going on for a long time -- -- especially bad -- -- -- so.
9/11 helped create this that was a terrible terrible day but I think the assessment was wrong because -- assessment was it had something to do with Iraq.
-- so therefore they used 9/11 as an excuse to go to Iraq invade Iraq fight a war there as well as Afghanistan.
And that that was not the cause.
Al-Qaeda was not in Iraq.
And they had no weapons of mass destruction and that attitude is continue to this very day because they're a bunch of people up in Washington right now and other candidates think that we can't wait to we go into Syria into rant that makes no chance we can't afford it.
It won't help but it won't give -- -- We have been careless about the protection of our civil liberties -- -- right after 9/11 they passed -- bill.
Which was that which which was.
Absolutely this -- they called -- the Patriot Act is -- called unpatriotic body cat.
Now and if that bill would have been properly named and all the repeal -- the Fourth Amendment act it would have never been past.
It is Patriot Act -- miles our government agents to invade our premises houses and made our inner our emails.
And whatever they want to look at without a proper search for.
Something the founders.
Explicitly a lot of -- revolution on put it in the Fourth Amendment right of privacy.
Today we haven't turned upside that we don't have privacy.
But we have too much secrecy in government we need much more openness of government and much more protection of our privacy.
But.
It's frustrating -- it might get at times we do have victories we've had won here recently last month or so.
Because it was appeal floating around stop on piracy act.
And this as an effort for the federal government to take control the Internet.
But a lot of people like you about word of it sent a message and Washington he even had they had majority votes of both house and senate once they heard from the people.
They withdrew those bills they -- often they're no longer pushing through the congress so that people have.
And besides how we gonna spread our message without the -- now.
But also since that time we've had other things that are discouraging as far as undermining personal liberties the president announced a year ago.
That it -- is say it was legal for him as president and the commander in chief.
That he would now be allowed to assassinate American citizens without a trial without -- And it -- that -- -- on three occasions.
So that is that is a the law according to the president.
When asked him about -- -- -- -- in the constitution you can assassinate American citizen.
He said well I can do anything I -- except those things that it's that are explicitly denied to be in the constitution.
I think he has that twisted around a -- The president only has the authority to do things that he has explicit authority to do.
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- president I promised to be that type of president I will not legislate by executive orders are using executive orders to repeal.
All those executive orders in Iraq.
It's not it's not only the president undermining our personal liberties that congress -- -- on a platter here tested -- passes national defense authorization act.
And and here is that the eldest many of you already know about -- -- it means that the president now has the authority used the military.
To -- an American citizen any time he so chooses if he wants to.
No charges no trial no attorney -- and a secret prison indefinitely that is not what America is all about.
That -- needs to repeal.
We can solve our problems by just finding the people who will read the constitution of -- constitution emphasize personal liberty.
Liberty will bring people together there we -- today we're very divisive because all are doing is fighting over power who's gonna control -- money which faction of -- They all support the same -- policies same monetary policy that welfare is that the deficits the whole -- and they fight over the control the power who's gonna get the benefits.
But -- true liberty brings us together.
Because people get used -- way they see -- it's your life you should do what you're with your life which you want people should tell you how to run your life is long as you don't have other people.
If we -- -- Very -- thought if we here at that spot through that means that if our life and liberties come from our creator we ought to head out the natural right to keep the fruits of all our labors in.
Also out.
But.
If we see people as individuals and nodding groups groups should never be punished because they belong -- group the group should not happen -- it's because -- alone group.
But all publishing company gathered no matter how -- we are because just because there'll be a difference in how we use him.
How we want to spend money.
What -- social values -- what church we go to that we should all come together in defense of liberty and then we should be left alone and government should butt out of our lives off our back -- And this is where.
And is that where we have the good news this message is coming out loud and clear and people are joining us especially and so delighted to see young people.
Because they are energized by this but there are many now that aren't so young but young -- spirit.
And they know this -- -- -- note that the status quo isn't working the financial system McCain economic.
A theory isn't working we have to do something better.
We've had a -- -- is we have the best example -- free society ever we have the largest and richest middle class ever.
And we are now unfortunately letting it slip away -- we have to recapture this this is emphasizing.
Personal liberty the constitution.
Sound money property rights Second Amendment Rights.
An honest.
Also of course a sensible foreign policy -- national defense.
There is the only alternative to what we have today if you see -- I do peace and prosperity.
It can be found by restoring the great values of this country.
And if we do that.
-- -- -- -- tell you what the whole world will benefit so often today they believe that we are -- And so many want to promote our presence around the world because they say that we aren't exceptional nation we are and we have -- But you can't.
-- -- -- exception was on other countries like -- you can't go invade and bomb people say we're exception you got to live the way we did.
And we'll.
Look.
If we set a standard.
Of individual liberty and prosperity and peace.
The rest of the world will notice then they will want to emulate it's much easier promote our -- through peaceful needs is through war.
In this is what we have this is what we have to offer.
We don't have to go backwards we go pick up the pieces that we move forward and refine the understanding of liberty like it's never been understood before.
And it's only been tested a short period of time in his country and lot of times they'll accuse us up wanted to go backwards but let me tell idea.
Those who accuse us of wine to go backwards are going backwards toward tyranny and we don't need to go and -- Iraq.
So I don't think it's difficult to -- the problems I think the answers can be around.
And this is what we're all about today and today especially because there.
Election I want to make sure that everybody tonight goes out and votes and makes -- And make a statement for this cause.
Because if we truly want to promote the cause of liberty and restore its greatness we can find it very easily in the cause of liberty.
And I want to thank you for joining me that -- and joining us in his effort to restore.
A liberty to this great country like Iraq.
