Game it certainly is a tight three way race in Alabama and Mississippi Alabama governor Robert Bentley joins -- -- Hello Greta.

What do you make it tonight's vote here's I'm -- well what do you make of tonight's vote -- states there.

Well you know it's it's it's playing out exactly the way -- thought -- -- I really felt like bed senators Edison Santorum would win.

But I do -- -- very very close race.

Now you voted for our senate -- comes out right -- I did I voted for him I told him last night when I spoke to him that.

That I was going to vote for him and my wife was going to vote for him I did not officially endorse him because I actually think that can hurt candidates.

People in Alabama and make up their own mind and I don't try to tell people how to vote.

Well what does -- what that -- -- some of the curious aspect of the have you ever endorsed anybody.

You know I can't I really have not I just don't endorse other candidates because I just think I just don't think that's right I don't think that.

People and public probably should endorse other candidates.

Right now I I know why you around you voted for senator sent charm I know that I mean because you supported -- because you you're likely to Canada I'm curious why didn't like the wedding like the other three.

Well actually I mean we have some good candidates.

I think that.

All of them have things to offer I just feel like this senator Santorum.

Really is more alive guy Alabama voters and actually -- -- he's more like I -- And that's why have a four.

Governor -- would -- getting a quick break because there's breaking election news let's go to red hair right here like.

I'd -- the governor is right Alabama voters I did pick Rick Santorum Fox News can now project that Rick Santorum will win Alabama.

Leaving Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich to battle for second place this victory for Santorum is a major boost for that campaign.

He was once expected to finish third in Alabama a state in which he was vastly outspent by Mitt Romney.

Santorum's -- is also a major blow to Gingrich who earlier this week predicted he would win both Alabama and Mississippi.

The former house speaker have been pinning his hopes for the nomination on a strong showing in the south after winning Georgia last week in South Carolina in January.

-- this victory -- Santorum to increase his calls for Gingrich to drop out of the race since the former speaker has now lost to Alabama.

A state next to Georgia which Gingrich obviously represented in congress.

For some twenty years in Mississippi -- -- retains a slight lead.

At the moment although Gingrich and Romney are hot on his heels in Mississippi in the state at this point.

Remains too close to call but the breaking news in there you see the numbers in Mississippi the breaking news.

A Greta that Rick Santorum is now the projected winner.

In Alabama a big win for the Santorum campaign -- Thank you thank you -- denounced go back to Elba Alabama governor row are badly rejoining -- to react I'm governor should.

Just speaker Gingrich get -- he got a sizable number of votes senior state and 87 he wants to stay and now all way to the convention.

Well you know I do think that.

Did that the conservative vote he's being split but you know I think did someone who has started a race.

They certainly have our right to stay in -- they -- they want to end you know I'm not want to tell someone to get out of the race.

But but I do want to congratulate.

Senator Santorum.

Because I did feel like that he was going to win.

-- probably did everything to do with the fact that I said that I was gonna vote for him but I do want to congratulate you.

And why do you think that then governor.

Romney came in third it is says it's a distant third 28 dead percent death from 35 is the first place 30% in second.

Is that is that a huge loss there are not.

Well I think that most people in Alabama -- that.

Governor Romney is more liberal.

Then the other candidates.

How ever many out -- -- feel like -- he may have the best chance to get the nomination.

So a lot of times people will vote far candidate because they think that he will be the nominate.

What matters more to say -- -- -- this -- -- in the -- lives these social issues.

In Alabama or the economy.

The economy by far.

Right now the economy is number one.

I think all across this country and Alabama certainly jobs is number one that's that's my number what age you and I think it's the number one.

Thing that's on the minds of the people of this state.

So I'm curious why governor Romney wouldn't of them -- more attractive can -- -- the numbers show because that seems to abandon him and his.

His strengths and -- many voters.

You know.

How would I do wanna say that I don't hear the candidates talking enough about job creation.

You know it as far as specifics are concerned.

I would like to hear them say that -- jobs are number one.

And creating jobs in this country is number one and I know they do talk about it but I don't hear it enough and I I think that.

What we need to hear more from our candidates.

Governor thank you so there's been an exciting day near state of course -- can --
