He is a flight attendant and has written -- great new book called cruising attitude good morning you're not actually -- Now I could be and know people a first class and -- Speaking of people in first class Telesis -- about a famous singer who.
Said there was a problem -- you had to fix.
-- they all say today that we have to fix it then what her problem with the little black the little black -- knees and her hot team which where her tea leaves but that's not as bad as the people who want us to take.
One out of -- they want it for three cubes or vice not four or have a right to complain about guys being too cold.
Seriously.
The celebrities.
You know all -- -- now now.
Now you want to rest -- -- to -- my -- Well okay.
You some amazing stories -- about things that people have done team you like you're not even human like for example -- earlier in the -- yeah I had an hour -- coworker of mine found his.
I'm Glazer standing in line -- Customs and another friend of mine found her blanket on I mean her blanket -- sweater on a passenger who thought it was a blanket never -- the arm and neck -- you know.
Yeah it's crazy.
I I I read.
Somewhere that one of the things that you say is it the worst thing about.
Flying today is that everybody is miserable -- everybody is miserable.
Well yeah that I mean it you know if you're dreading your trip two days before you can start your trip.
Now is probably not going to be a good trip -- -- starting on the wrong -- it.
I mean not everyone's miserable for we know we have a plane full wonderful passengers it just doesn't want -- to move.
Kind of ruin it for everyone -- it's no that's not our minds out I have to be stay focused and focus on the good and sometimes that can be hard when -- -- -- my six days and I -- Pass and you're able to identify the troublemakers pretty much when they're getting on the one eight yelling they get on and say I'm not happy and -- York salty now that's pretty -- could go yeah I don't know I think.
I think you know I'm always suspicious.
Let me tell you when you get on the you have to turn off your iPad -- to turn off your electronic device I actually carry a dvd player for my kids.
And it's hard to imagine how that's interfering with what's going on the -- have talked a wireless executives who say it's not true it's not interfering now they're reviewing it.
We did that story earlier on the show today when you say does -- interfere or not.
I've had parents -- and it does -- you know and maybe it doesn't happen often.
That once you know that's enough for me and maybe 121020.
Don't affect the flight but you know -- and now we have a 160 passengers with not one.
But three or four electron devices they don't wanna turn off -- you know you that if you are asking what makes my job and the most typical it's -- now I have to.
Boarding is the most stressful time -- the job.
And we're -- pay during boarding and I'm you know we set the tone of the flight during boarding and that's when I have to tell passengers to turn it off not once twice.
Like five time -- really don't do it I mean it really sit there and keep typing that has to be so frustrating -- yet when you see a man with his head between his legs talking to the floor of the things that really really think that's his friend you know I know I kind of counteract.
You know an Indian people have -- an intelligence documents an airplane -- office often gets wet we have we have iphone's two we know how they work.
And it doesn't matter what we saint or.
What you think or what Mythbusters proved that where the New York Times wrote it -- lost so and as I do my job and I don't do my -- have a job right.
And I get personally find not the airlines so people realize that -- and -- give you want to pay that fine and then hire me there is my life okay may mean no probably not because I do like my job.
So it sent it sounds like this story about Alec Baldwin you would -- -- essentially is they don't think that I -- used to say well I we did because as it turned it up -- turn it up yeah well there's I know loans to assume conversation about it.
Now I have had people tell me -- -- why can't we just know what he's telling you why why because -- two minutes to get to my Dempsey before we take off and there's a 4050 people just like you.
That you know I have to have his three minute conversation went so.
Your book came out of a blog that you were doing -- -- inspired you to start the blog was it sheer frustration you thought people will never believe these crazy stories.
Why -- he's kind of trying to write a bite him but before but.
And then I got pregnant I couldn't write my mind tend to my sister blogging just to keep the creative juices flowing and I was just shocked at some of the comet that he's getting over -- over this I think Imus.
Like you know -- always comes down to you're not educated which is really interesting because we have a very educated group of people -- We have doctors who have practices we have lawyers with practices.
And it's not you know.
-- -- and always hear that you know we are overpaid all my tax.
Lot of people don't understand that most flights -- start out making 141000 year I mean does that sound like that anyone has overpaid.
Now.
There's just a lot of things.
Oh and I get comments from people who want any flights in its -- say.
You know I wanna be based out of Philly and I have a child at home and I wanna be able to be home -- want to just work nights and have any holidays off and I -- and he does -- So I just like in my book is not about airlines is about being a flight signature but I don't name my airline doesn't matter does -- matter -- -- work for it's the same job is not a job it's a lifestyle.
That lot of people understand.
So and half the book is take it's on the ground so.
I don't mean relationships so I'm always easy once you -- read it because you find out about the ladies got really drunk on the like Italy the PX government passport -- -- -- and the naked people yeah dignity was aborted take off their clothes in their seat.
While I don't know I don't see them taken on the advice that is I can't resolve -- -- and the one with the seatbelt buys yesterday put her clothes back on and a that is stepping into the out walking to -- -- she decide to climb over in his seat backs off five of them.
How what happened her.
Arrested dad and authorities meet the flight that man was that after nine elevenths.
Idea.
Do you like -- I do love it does that mean some praising.
I mean the way and I can't really tell well we're talking about the crazy stuff hair that's it about it.
-- -- -- well we know it becomes a -- him for the money -- make -- that's straight what's good about it in the only miss Holliday is that.
But what we -- -- the flexibility and the freedom I mean I can make the job whatever -- why the work I think the work -- at the work fifteen days in a row.
I'll have to work at all because we get our pay for what we fly like -- pick up extra trips and work -- time.
You know and and may not travel anywhere but just knowing I can jump on the airplane that makes me really happy.
That's terrific read all about the book is called cruising attitude and a pool thank you very much thank my luck to area thank you.
