Have a hard time in the ratings recently they fired Rosie O'Donnell and over herself admits things are not going well.
I didn't -- -- easy but I did not you know.
If I if I knew then what I knew now I might have made some different choices I would say if I were writing a book about it I could call the book a 101 mistakes.
I -- that analyzes age of Southern California Dennis Miller joins us from -- Barbara.
So where -- I'm not bragging but we're pretty successful here in cable.
Cable -- and I mean you were very successful armed.
I get by on the factor for sixteen years.
Saw OpenId if you can call you and she lives right around a quarter from you Miller you both live -- lavish mansions and Sam -- she -- it's a damage you know you've been very good in cable line can you give me some tips you do that that you.
First -- Billy before we dive in here I have to say the OJ story blew my mind.
And who would have thought that colonel Sanders would break that whole case wide -- after that did you see that coming and you know sometimes when I go to KF CI -- should not with a OJ and that gets a little weird.
Her modest.
Up and we're gonna get -- -- bottom of it Miller as we always do you know we will.
You are let's -- the bottom of this Oprah thing all right -- -- for me to tell Oprah Winfrey.
About -- about entertainment I've had a lot of shows shot out from under me belly as far as television goes I am the TV what the Khyber rifles -- -- horse -- are right.
So I'm not gonna tell -- thing but I do think that once a nice hard working intelligent fun talk show host.
Suffers the idea occasion and I did say suffers the it's gonna catch up -- you can't bear up underneath that you know one of these times the best thing Oprah could do to get it back together is to say -- A more -- with a startup business.
I don't think -- -- like that the next time somebody says no -- honored to -- the same marriage you.
Just think -- -- that's sweet I know what you mean I appreciate it.
But man that is crazy -- -- hear Arizona.
Over and asked me I've you know I know or a little bit we have been our program couple times we've got together funeral.
-- but.
She sheets started network targeted Americans win.
All right.
And then she brings in Rosie O'Donnell as her signature.
Post is she doesn't show Oprah but she's not -- a lot so it's O'Donnell comes in now O'Donnell has alienated.
90%.
Of American wind.
Ninety.
All right because she was nasty on the view and then she got thrown off the air and then she wants to marry Fidel Castro or whatever she wants to do I don't know.
But she's alienated.
All of these women.
So I don't understand why Oprah thinks an American women are gonna come to her cable network if she is not on it.
She's only -- occasionally.
You win a guy who rates take that back there.
Don't Billy I just -- you talk to -- -- you -- then I got I wanna talk over when we do that at its at all weird.
Let's -- Oprah's had a great run the best run of everybody.
And all you have to do is twinkle little thing and then the magic that is the connection between you and the people you go from channel -- to 79.
That's a problem you know you come not in essentially -- work.
We're here trying to please people it's heavily polarized politically.
And you support somebody that's gonna grab real little -- on for twenty years is the top -- way out front.
That's gonna catch up deal little it's just -- you have a tenuous grasp on human beings attention -- she did it.
It better than anybody in the history of the media it's a success story it can't be forever.
No I agree but if she were on a cable wars I think would be more successful -- Forbes's releases list of top over expose celebrities and you wanna talk about three of them go.
-- -- I saw the usual suspects it's the car dash in the new Jersey Shore kids I would say this in lieu of of emotional intellectual or spiritual -- which is what it used to take to become an immortal.
-- now use redundancy we take light weights and constantly imprint them on your frontal -- it's almost like a famous strobe light or something.
And at this time in history what piqued our interest is a culture is uninteresting people it's just that simple.
The -- vessels are the ones that you could -- -- your dreams and aspirations into.
I want these kids sit at home and everybody wants to be famous like war -- said and they -- Look -- they see if you're actually talented but I can't do that when they ceased looking up mount Rushmore they thought I don't watch smoking I can be snow that it actually.
Very very perceptive Miller it's like I can do that so -- -- watch how she does it maybe I'll get my own show.
I mean and well there you go on own.
All right finally New York City desperate for money is everybody is municipalities all over the -- attacks you'll government unit next yelled out yeah.
Pretty soon Bloomberg's gonna come in with a ruler.
And mention the plumbers crack or measure the plumbers crack the -- -- guy in front of me in the yoga class.
And hit him with a spike -- per inch exposed to the rest of the class.
You need a patent license -- to do your downward dog in Manhattan.
These folks are relentless -- our taxes are like aliens never Bill Paxton look at it that.
Little scanner and -- -- think they've.
Want everything they get.
Got to keep Jackson and -- Jackson but they best watch it because eventually they're gonna croak the host organism and -- you're having nothing goes off exactly.
I really crazy so if you go by yoga class you gotta pay the city -- attacked anything you do.
There they are like this -- -- as The Beatles once signed Dennis and.
