Let's get -- -- -- fashion all the week the -- in my case year old obviously well aware of that by now the seventeen year old.

Unarmed teenager shot dead as he walked through gated community in some of Florida by jewel -- -- we all heard the 911 tapes.

But NBC news did what appeared to be some selective editing all -- one of those 911 tapes.

-- -- -- MSNBC news NN and MSNBC which is sort of a satellite of NBC and also the near times -- that it is the same thing but I guess I gave -- -- the -- thing fell victim is wrong we're.

Make it an -- maybe MSNBC and and be spending your -- fell victim NBC made a conscious choice to make an internal edit in the tape.

To take out the part with a dispatcher -- and hey listen you know what color was a guy.

Ands -- answer the question I left that out and the bias is not only the fact that NBC thought wouldn't this really stick it determined by making look like races to -- to the public that was horrible unbiased enough.

The further -- was.

The way NBC is handled that they sort of -- that they're investigating and admit apologize if they apologize imprints.

They didn't go on the air to -- and human you know there's this cliche somebody assessment -- her horrible.

On television and -- traction.

Two weeks later and that have.

One column newspaper one -- newspapers or somewhere and that's what happened here and NBC -- Zimmerman a full completed -- and they go to the fire somebody and put they didn't.

The -- going on about how this is a seasoned producer knew exactly was the talented guy he made a mistake -- of course fix it.

No no true contrition no visible anything of three.

We would we we did our part direction guy's life.

And hours and -- general Sally app.

So it is it as as somebody who knows the way TV -- It is absolutely.

Impossible.

It seems to me to believe that that was an inadvertent mistake.

Don't -- you don't take the middle out of a conversation accidentally.

Now than I did it I think it's just it -- that.

Think it's embarrassment I think it was bad behavior I think it was an appropriate I think they're you know and -- more formal on air apology.

But you know.

Look I think it was wrong I do as a -- don't think -- in the conversation about the trade on Martin case.

The press has focused way too much on sort of trying to get into Zimmerman head.

Was he a racist was -- overt racist.

I actually don't think that's the issue if you look at.

You know the power that he had the holding the gun the power the unbelievable.

Deference given -- him under the stand your ground law the fact that people.

Consciously but more often -- Lee see young black men -- -- ladies and think they're dangerous whether they admit it overtly or not.

That's what the media should be focusing on and not whether you know Zimmerman was one bad apple we've we have a larger conversation -- about -- So we should all be focusing on is just the justice Jim just letting this play -- There's a special prosecutor in place.

Do we really need.

Does the media really need to make this season the big issue that we have made it.

The race issue the political issue even it's become it's become a Democrat Republican issue -- It'll completely polarized.

Democrat Republican also black white and and I just say not just one other goodies.

ABC news last night did a thing on knocking over drug pharmacies and saying you know -- you know.

You know.

With the breaking at pharmacies for the pain pills -- -- on and they had killed in this new world we live in a surveillance video every great instinct to have a surveillance video with it.

And every criminal breaking into a pharmacy had a pretty.

Now they're -- very they're both different different races but and I must say the -- it does seem to be under the uniform.

Gangsters.

And -- some to think about.

I've got a -- Okay so I have several yeah and I went this is this -- -- you know what I want to call as we go the most inept in all of this is.

When -- when I first came to the United States the very first story I covered with the OJ Simpson murder trial.

The the end all of -- the verdict I spent all of my time in south central LA.

And talking until all the African American folks that Mike cameramen and I will literally and in the cafe we were in on the -- verdict day we were the only white folks at that.

Talking tell everybody that they all voted an appalling injustice was being done to OJ Simpson but if I said -- any of them.

If I did which I did but if I have done America -- a screwed up place everybody would have said no it's the greatest country in the world it seems to me that we.

Maybe lost sight of that now and these other issues -- board.

All the people think and now I don't I don't I think we should be Smart enough as human beings I think we are -- -- -- Americans to be able to hold both conversations and -- In other words.

I think I can sit here and say that the United States still has a problem.

With racial bias and that young black men in our society are disproportionately.

Treated.

Unfairly and unjustly as compared to young white and they are they're pre -- -- they walked on the street frankly what ever there wearing.

They are pulled over by police more often.

They are presumed to be holding a weapon when -- only holding a bag of Skittles.

And incidentally police data social science research all these things -- -- I can single those things.

And still believe.

That America has come and far and long way from what was a greater injustice of slavery and an -- are awful pass across the board.

Those two things don't necessarily have to be -- -- we we can have both conversation -- I knew that.

That's all I've I did I did read somewhere recently that.

They -- percent of the of them.

Armed robberies of cab drivers -- your -- here from watching this man can is that true or not if it's true that that does suggests there's more of a problem here and then then.

Then being -- -- than that racism is something else going on like violent crime all right.

Okay it is a huge debate obviously -- -- that will continue part of this debate will be on FOX News Watch this weekend to thirty.

At 11:30 PM eastern on Saturday.

Hosted by -- -- dominated by Jim.

I'll actually I'll be honest with all your own home I.

I don't know how many I don't know dominated the last world dominated the battle for domination but Sally -- and Jim -- and thank you very much Jim is going to be back of human -- and if you would.
